J_mk1 Posted March 7, 2007 Report Posted March 7, 2007 too expenisive for me... id go for willwood instead, cant be that much worse for the cost difference!

4parajon Posted March 8, 2007 Report Posted March 8, 2007 I read on TS that mk1gaz had ordered some and was waiting ages.
Rick Posted March 8, 2007 Report Posted March 8, 2007 to be honest when you spend that kind of money you really want good service! id be fuming after a few days wanting to know why my 1500 quid wasnt important enough for them reminds me of an overly expensive leather sofa that i ordered and took months to arrive
Guest MK1gaz Posted March 8, 2007 Report Posted March 8, 2007 Yep , i been waiting about 5 weeks so far for the 6 pot 275mm brake kit to go inside 13 inch rims , when i ordered them they said about 2 weeks !!!!!! They don't even keep one 6 pot kit on the shelf yet they advertise them in all the mags etc . Still there's no other option unless you spend twice as much on a 280mm A.P. kit which only has 4 pots .

If you dont mind me asking Gaz, how much was the kit anyway??
Guest MK1gaz Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 approx £850 for new 6 pot calipers , 275mm discs machined and bolted to lightweight alloy bells , uprated brake pads , braided hoses , V.A.T. and delivery . The kit bolts straight on and runs inside 13 inch rims , the 6 pot calipers wrap right over the big discs and bolt directly to the mounting points so there's no spacers to flex about etc like most other kits available . The wait for the bits is the only killer and i'll be hitting the street this spring time with crap brakes again if they don't hurry up !!!!!!
