chinkamon Posted June 15, 2022 Report Posted June 15, 2022 Hi all. Brothers got some Italian twin 40s, were apparently off a 1750 crossflow so he was told. Sat on his shelf for years. Never put them on his old car, no linkage. Needs a good going through. How much are they worth roughly? Cheers all
YellowTaxi Posted June 16, 2022 Report Posted June 16, 2022 Very dificult to put a price on. If someone is restoring a Twin cam or something and wants period carbs I would imagine you could name your price. These days though most either go for new Spanish ones or EFI. Put em on Fleabay, you never know. 1
eeb43 Posted June 16, 2022 Report Posted June 16, 2022 im interested in them if they are rebuildable 1
chinkamon Posted June 18, 2022 Author Report Posted June 18, 2022 Well as I said, he got them to put in his hot rod years ago, but never actually done anything with them. Sold the car shortly afterwards an They've just sat there on his shelf an he's never got round to even looking at them, recent house move meant he's noticed them again an so asked me to ask you lot what they're worth. I'll ask him if he thinks they're rebuildable, his garage was clean an dry purpose built for his roadster so they certainly haven't got damp. But no idea how good they were to start🤷🏻♂️
