Sorry for the late reply i cant believe it really but i failed only on one thing which was meant to be a serious fault i pulled out of a junction and there was plenty of room to do so and some T*SS*R came flying up behind me and slammed on his brakes and apparantly thats my fault as i should have realised he was going quick and speed up quicker

To be honest i am really P*SS*D off at the moment and i am still trying to get a hold of whats happened to me today (it has'nt really sunk in yet). Also another thing that really anoyed me was that the test is meant to be 40Mins long of driving and mine went on for about 50Mins so how is that a fair test???

I honestly thought that i had passed it today and i could'nt believe it when he said i had failed  I really think i was stitched up well and truely today

Well enough of me moaning now im just going to laugh it off and ive already book another one for in May so im just going to forget all about it and do a bit more work on the escort in the mean time

Hey come on ..... keep your chin up and move on to the next time - these are mistakes you won't make again and in the end will make you more aware and a better driver

the best drivers pass second time, i did

i went to a different test center the second time, on roads i didn't know and it all worked out dude, it's a good idea if you're willing to risk it

My next test will be my third test mate :D

I am concidering changing centres but no one else has suggested that i should :?

If someone thinks that another test centre near me might be better let me know and i will change to another one.The centre i have used twice now is West Wickam and alot of instructors etc rant and rave about it so i guess it must be good :D

The best advice i can give you is to observe and take your time. Exaggerate your observations. Its better to wait and get a minor for hesitation then to go for the gap and get a fail.

I did mine in december, and got 4 minors. two stalls because i was nervous, one hesitation and my reverse around a corner wasnt quite spot on. For everything else i just took my time.

And keep exaggerating those observations. They couldnt care less about your driving ability. Theyre only interested in where you look and that your carefull.

Another way to sway them is to be a real smooth drive. One of my friends is f#cking hopeless, and a total liabilty. On his test he mounted a kerb and stalled about 5 times. But he drove really really smooth and the instructor gave him a pass saying that he had total control over the car and he was just nervous.

I deffinity did make sure i took my time and i did all of my observations but i should have just waited for another gap at that one damn junction

I couldnt believe he failed me on that to be honest if the guy wants to speed up behind me then brake then surely thats his fault and not mine :?

Apparantly i should have seen him behind me and speed up quicker :(

But its booked again for a couple of months time (thats the waiting time) and i will give it another shot and hopefully i will pass

It is a gutter mate, I know I have been there. Don't beat yourself up over it, there is no point. One way to help with the nerves is to keep the test date to yourself it lessens the pressure. As mentioned elsewhere over exaggerate the observations. Good luck for the next time.
