The American influence stands to reason as Ford Australia were very American Muscle car based, and Escorts and Cortinas were just used as smaller sized market fillers but their main focus was all about big Falcons back then. They had they own engine assembly plant for American V8s and straight sixes so im sure that Blue was used on everything that went under a Ford bonnet.

Yeah, I think they built the 351 Cleveland's down under for the Falcons and the 6 pots evolved into the Barra which is a very tunable engine by all accounts!
