Hi All,,

myself and my brother are about to change the crown and pinion on my 2.1 pinto Mk1 does any one know the torque setting for the pinion nut and the correct procedure for this ive herd a couple of ideas but none from old ford experts like you guys...

I assume you have an English Axle.

I can look out the settings for you but you will need to set the backlash correctly too.

I assume you are replacing the bearings etc as well and have done this before as it is important to get the wear pattern even too.
