Mk2 escort 2 door door adjustment catch

Hello can anyone advice me on how to make adjustments to the door latches on a mk2 escort to allow the door latch into the catch nicely at all please or if there are any videos or anything to show how to do this it all anyone

Before you adjust anything, open the door about 6 inches, and try to lift it up , if there is movement up and down you have worn hinges or rust in the lower part of the A post.

You need to sort that first.
