BaileyMex Posted Sunday at 13:26 Report Posted Sunday at 13:26 Hi all I know this has been asked many times over the years, but wanted to get a fresh opinion from anyone who has recently bought a Type-9 quick shift that doesn't rattle. Mine does - from memory I think it was the Quaife one (cant remember TBH) , at certain speeds and its so annoying, but what's new to the market that people have bought that doesn't rattle.
quickrack Posted Sunday at 18:01 Report Posted Sunday at 18:01 Didn't buy a new one but I bought the thickest goopyist heaviest stickiest grease the local Plant supplies shop had, and filled the tail section with a full tube. Refitted the shifter. No more rattles. 1
BIG G Posted Monday at 09:40 Report Posted Monday at 09:40 You can buy a lever rose joint type bearing with a nylon insert put in but I would just get the standard type lever and get the oldskool type kit as they are quiet and wont do your tits in

BIG G Posted Monday at 10:18 Report Posted Monday at 10:18 Probably Burtons or even Ebay as the Kit Car guys love the type 9 so there are a few on the market
