I spoke to my bank about my same concerns and they basically said that they wouldn't protect me when using this service. I was lucky as the seller was a genuine honest guy and I had no issues but I probably wouldn't do it again as it stressed me out and I've recently had issues locally being a victim of fraud, only a small amount but once bitten twice shy as they say.

Agreed, no need to use telescam for anything IMO. Bank transfer or paypal (and buyer covers the fees) are about the only way I'd do business with someone unknown to myself.
