Hi all,

Tis that time of year when I have to get the escort through it’s annual WOF ( NZ version of MOT )

I had a small vac leak where the non return valve goes into the brake servo, and having tried to remove it for inspection the seal has ripped and now it will be a large leak…..

Any idea where I can get one, or suggest a part from a later make/model that might be more readily available ?

thanks

Phil, Last time the seals went in mine I took it to a local brake specialist and they rebuilt it. There is a rebuild seal kit for that purpose and they crack the think open and painted it was like new. One odd thing though when they twist it back together the reservoir angle is very slightly tilted. No one but me notices it and I dont consider it that bad and Im as fussy as all get out. Unless the booster is new old stock I wouldn't put an old one back in and refurbishment worked out very well. My brakes have never been this good.

Hey,

the servo operates fine, and has been back in for a few years, it was just a slight air leak where the non return valve pushes in via a rubber bung/seal.

Thats pretty good then Ive seen them available separately with their seal, just need to wait till one pops up on Ebay. Again my Brake place has  them in stock.
