Just out of laziness i thought i would go to ATS and get them to change the oil on my Baby Bus !

 

Including Vat £41 ! so i asked how much to put some tyres i have onto my steel rims ....... £15 plus vat EACH !

have never got a quote for an oil change, but thats well over the odds for tyre fitting! 60 quid plus the cost of the tyre con merchants.

 

my dad charges a tenner for a part worn and then fits it for free!. great if you like the personal touch of a small(ish) irish bloke putting the world to rights and telling you about the dangers of driving fast for the 15 mins it takes (i love him really )

 

should be professionally about 7 quid i think, plus VAT, so a tenner.

My tyre supplier are great, I needed some tyres off the rims and they dont charge, said that as they havent supplied anything there's no need.

Service like that that makes you want to go back time and time again.

But don't forget they have overheads and wages to pay .... it might only take 5 mins to change a tyre but it might have cost £50k for the machine.
