Arched Escy Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 Right, you should go with Miniltes IF you can fit 7"s on a standard Anglia, cos Minilites look wrong without a dish,if not Lotus Steels.
young un Posted March 18, 2007 Author Report Posted March 18, 2007 NAh i doubt they would my dad recomends 5.5" but i dont like the lotus steelies on anglias unless im not thinkin of the right wheel. you could convince me with pics

Arched Escy Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 Another thing is,what kind of car will it be?What colour? How often will it be used? These will all be influenced majorly by wheel choice
Fiesta Steve Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 13"wheel on a 175,60r13?!!!?? speedo may be slightly out as i cant remember what size tyre they have as standard! Its all about working out the circumference of the tyre so its the same as what was fitted as standard as to not affect the speedo, a wheel and tyre supplier should be able to reccommend this too you, get in touch with Midland wheels or similar As for offset just tell the supplier what they are going on! 175 60 's are a good size !! I have them on the 1300 Sport. I didn't want the 175 50 as it leaves a large arch gap unless its lowered lots and I didn't want it too low, plus it would rev its nuts off !! And the 175 60 is a lower profile than the stanard 185 60 so look a bit better
young un Posted March 18, 2007 Author Report Posted March 18, 2007 Anglia dont know the colour as i dont have it yet. aiming for a respray in dark blue with silver roof it will be my everyday car
young un Posted March 18, 2007 Author Report Posted March 18, 2007 Another thing is,what kind of car will it be?What colour? How often will it be used? These will all be influenced majorly by wheel choice why would it?

If you have a car thats completely original, but it's on a set of 20" chromes, thats not right,if you go for too big wheels, you will lose ride comfort and handling will be affected.
Fiesta Steve Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 Cant beat a nice restored rostyle ...... Itll be the next big thing I hope not
Arched Escy Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 Rostyles just dont do it for me! Not on an Anglia, but my Dad has some on his MGB and they look the nuts!
HoTWire Posted March 19, 2007 Report Posted March 19, 2007 Can't go wrong with wide steels on an anglia ,.. anyone put Ronal Turbos on an anglia ??
young un Posted March 19, 2007 Author Report Posted March 19, 2007 Nope deffo going for minilites gaz wat size are them minilites and what tyres
Wessie Posted March 19, 2007 Report Posted March 19, 2007 before deciding what wheels your gonna get m8, i think you should worry about getting the car
young un Posted March 19, 2007 Author Report Posted March 19, 2007 Yeah i know wessie but i was bored so just thought id look into it!
Gareth Posted March 19, 2007 Report Posted March 19, 2007 It's good to get the desired look into your head IMO Just don't deviate from it!!!
Mark2Mark Posted March 19, 2007 Report Posted March 19, 2007 It means make a plan and stick to it. Something which is absolutley impossible when building any OSF!!!!
