Yeap no lasting damage valves and pistons don't met on a standard Pinto.

 

Belt was about 5 years old and next to no miles grrrrrr.

if the belts get oil on them then that can weaken them but you are lucky the belt didn't destroy anything when it went

2 litre pintos are fine, its a non interference engine...

its the sixteen hundreds you need to worry about, if the belt snaps on them its goodbye valves.
