Posted March 22, 2007 Report Posted March 22, 2007 Im 17 in may, and ive been phoning round places (well dads been speaking to some off his contacts ), and cant get a decent quote, I would like to have to only pay £1500, but if i have to spend a little more i will do! I need help, Tell me what cars/engine sizes you have and how much its costing you, i tried to get insurance on a 2.0 gt mk3 cortina and its going to be £3500 I then asked about my 1.5 gt mk1 cortina, and its only £1200 but the thing is i dont really want to drive that everyday, as it will be near concourse once finished plus mk1's arent the best cars to drive daily
arch Posted March 22, 2007 Report Posted March 22, 2007 alryt mate wel i had a qoute for my mk2 escort 1600 ghia an it was 2340 from adian flux but i got a qoute from a local insura for 1750 which is beta but not alot my aparently tescos is real cheap but my advice is shop around

whitey Posted March 22, 2007 Report Posted March 22, 2007 hello matey there pretty high, Tesco are good but only do third party cause they dont like older cars, footman james are also good, i pay 750 third party fire and theft on a 1300e with an agreed value but with limited milage of 6000 miles this is with me as the only driver and no parents added to make it cheaper so if father goes on it the price may go down lol these prices are when i was 17 , . just shop around and try every where , goodluck.

Durham Fiesta Posted March 23, 2007 Report Posted March 23, 2007 my first ar was a 1.25 mk4 fiesta zetec and they were wanting nearly 2 grand at 17 to insure that so went on my parents insurance which in a way was a good thing but the downside is that you don't build up any no claims
