Admin Vista Posted March 18, 2008 Admin Report Posted March 18, 2008 Have you seen what it's going to cost to tax anything that's remotely fun to drive next year? My car is almost doubling next year jumping from £210 to £415 then up to £430 the following year!! that's more than I have to pay for insurance FFS!! Want to know how much you're going to be ripped off for if you don't drive a 4 horse power dullobox that emits nothing more than squirrel farts?? Take a look here http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/road-tax/?deriv=25020 And here's the chart if you already know your CO2 grouping What's next an air tax for the amount of CO2 we breath out?? Unfit ones and fatties have to pay more?? Fooking bollox, I'm rarely this cheesed off and I'll be very tempted to drive an untaxed car that isn't registered to me when this comes out!!
sab6024 Posted March 18, 2008 Report Posted March 18, 2008 I had to TAX the Capper this morning and that cost me £101.75 for 6 months That's a bummer seeing as I had to Tax it from the start of this month She's got her MOT tomorrow and she's already gonna fail on rear brakes, exhaust and tyres. Yay more expense

DVLA website tax online thing wouldn't let me tax my estate online too cos it's free, it kept coming up with technical error each time I tried!

RFChris Posted March 18, 2008 Report Posted March 18, 2008 You look at this and o can see why otherwise law abiding people don't pay it.
Admin Vista Posted March 18, 2008 Author Admin Report Posted March 18, 2008 my honda's not in the new banding, what year is it that it starts to affect? I think it's from March 2001 on DVLA website tax online thing wouldn't let me tax my estate online too cos it's free, it kept coming up with technical error each time I tried! I tax my other car (also historic vehicle) online for free every year without any problem

Trevmk3 Posted March 18, 2008 Report Posted March 18, 2008 only problem is that tax keeps going up every year on everything, yet my income only goes up half of that every year. think i would be better off not working, or becoming an MP

Admin Vista Posted March 18, 2008 Author Admin Report Posted March 18, 2008 Just after 2001 mate, those that have a CO2 classification and I think that was from March 2001 on.
Stu_B Posted March 18, 2008 Report Posted March 18, 2008 My Anglia & Cortina are exempt & my daily is £120 a year for the next 3 years
LEONMEX Posted March 18, 2008 Report Posted March 18, 2008 sorry vista are you talking about your mk1 rs being £400+ a year??
Admin Vista Posted March 18, 2008 Author Admin Report Posted March 18, 2008 sorry vista are you talking about your mk1 rs being £400+ a year?? No, my daily drive. The table applies to cars registered after March 2001. I don't know what's happening to the old PLG taxation class. edit: Bollox, that thought hadn't occured to me. Add the two cars together and I'll end up paying nearly around £650 a year in road tax!! I can only drive one at a time FFS!
oliwally Posted March 18, 2008 Report Posted March 18, 2008 I wouldnt worry, the way things go they'll ban older cars that arnt able to meet the emissions they want and will ban them from the roads. and if you get caught driving them they'll take them and crush it. recycle the possibilatys are endless
jimbo Posted March 18, 2008 Report Posted March 18, 2008 HaHaHa....I get the train to work, so no VED rises for me.........
