  8. some of you are so self riteous it makes me laugh . my next door neighbor is a traffic officer and has shown me the new guidelines he has to follow (he had a quiet word in my ear about mine) yes pre 73 vehicles can use black plates ALL plates (that includes black/pressed/stick on) HAVE to have the bsau stamp on them regardless of age of car . so those of us who bought perfectly legal plates from a bonifide shop a few years ago that dont carry a bsau stamp are liable to prosecution . and those of you that have period style pressed plates (without a bsau mark) are also likely to get prosecuted . not such a good law now it effects you is it my personal opinion is that if you make the registration read differently you should be shown the error of your ways via a fine and something similar to a section 59 ensuring you dont do it again , but to fine someone 60 quid and put points on their license for 5 letters and 3 numbers 5 mm high and 40mm long is an utter joke . gets down off soap box and prepares to get coat
  9. just remembered , i have a full set of spare clocks in my garage if needed . i think ive got a whole granny in bits in my garage lol
  10. the only other fuses i know of are under the dash on the drivers side ? not sure if theres one for the guages tho . best thing to do with the temp guage is pull the wire off on the sender unit and earth it . the guage should flick straight to the top . like i said m8 if you need either bit for it let me know . it wont cost you (maybe a pint ).
  11. what do you need to get the temp guage working ? if its the guage , i have one , if its the sender , i have one . assuming its a v6 obviously.
  12. would have to be a bmw 2002 turbo for me , 170bhp as standard but ..................................... imagine it with a 5 series 4.4 v8 and supercharged . i alreay have the engine , just need the car lol . not sure what the missus would say if i stripped our 5 tho p.s if you want a 2.0 16v ecotec for that vauxhall thingamy jig , i know where theres a complete cavalier going cheap
