Cheers! And Relax!!!!! I just checked it out and it still on SORn and the dates match the ones i had it Sorn from? Any ideas how i can stamp up the chassis and get hold of a replica or original Vin plate as it has had a full front and slam panel? Liam

Im scared now as i bought a fully welded shell with obviously no tags or chassis numbers on the car as most panels have been replaced? The person on the log book has had it in his name for approx 1 year???? The last owner had the car for a lot longer than that. I have got an old tax disc from the 90's with the original reg on it but that is about it? I have tried an online reg check but it has come up with nothing as probably due to the car being from late 60's? How can i ensure im not buying a ringer and there are 2 the same reg numbers out there? How can i ensure that i identify the car with numbers once i have completed the build so no one else can steel it and continue this shi77y circle? The engine i am putting in it has a legitamate engine from a bumped car so i will contact DVLA and give that number on the log book. I would be devastated turning up at a gathering and seeing my reg on another car, sickly, hangover feeling you get when you step off a small curb or step when you dont expect it type feeling!!!! All advice would help?

Sold for Parts? Did you know that it was being stripped when you sold it? I would have lost the plot. If needs were that much i would have rather took pleasure in breaking it myself and selling on..... Kind of a bit freaky disecting it bit by bit, with a rye grin... And a glint in my eye!!! Actually cut me teeth on Sieras in my youth, they were ok and you can pick em up at good price, still rear wheel fun mind.... Unless you opt for a XR 4X4? Again still fun and with an LPG conversion if you are really ar$ed about cost can be tuned to suit....

I just spent almost £1200 this week on nice new stuff for it and trying to get hold of an engine set up from a guy on OSF that i desparately need.... Dont do it

I have decided to ST 170 it after getting Peeved off by folk wanting silly money for something that could be on its last legs. I was thinking of cutting out the hassle with searching for parts to get the ST Zetec facing the right way and was going to bite the bullit and visit RF and get a nice parcel delivered. Having a nightmare getting hold of a decent axle and diff without having to sell my sole.... Any help would be great as once i get it on axle i can get it rolling. I have a bubble arched MK1 so will take a capri LSD (Yeah if i can get hold of one) I have brand new 8x15j Minilights from JBW still in the box! Just spent £1068 at rally Design on seats, front brake kit (Wilwood 285mm Dynalites) and some other little bits and bobs ready to go in it..... Still sourcing an engine and box but not in a rush until i can pounce on it and go get it there and then.......Watch this space

Guys, Hi i trust all mis well? Im just new and this is my first post, i Have finally purchased my life long dream, a MK 1 escort 1969 that has been prepared for GRP4 but will not be killed on a rally. The car which i will post pictures sometime over the weekend is without engine, gearbox, and diff! I had been thinking of YB but the costs are silly as been quoted by a number of contacts on E-bay! So i am at a crossroads to either /YB or now looking at ST170? Help? I know the Retroford fitting kits are not cheap either but do not want to go spending a massive amount as there are still lots of parts to buy? Oh and im trying to get hold of a 2.8 capri axle and diff if anyone has one lying around, you know the LSD one that people keep asking for £500 for?
