yep, pi**es me right off that theres so many on ebay. pretty obvious there going to end up on a nicked car. i just hope the people selling them get theres nicked. every time i see one i think it could be my car the buyer is planning to put it on next. you never know whos got there eye on your motor. 2 rivets 4 screws and your fu**ed. mines having numbers stamped in hidden places as i rebuild it and it will have a tracker fitted.

thanks for all the info, iv just got myself a 1660 xflow with a bit of head work done and lightened flywheel for £300 im going to bolt it up to my 4 speed for now and see how it goes. ill prob end up with a type 9 5 speed but for now its enough, iv got enough to do lol

it would be nice to find something i can bolt straight up to my gear box, im not all that bothered about top end speed its more bottom to mid range power im looking for. i really dont want to start chopping it up but i will if i have to.

will i have to cut any of the tunnel out to fit a type 9 box?

my 1300 engine is out and the cars getting ready for paint, im un decided on what to put back in as the 1300 will not do for me. (need more power) so if anyone has anything for sale id be happy to hear about it. anything considered but im not loaded so cant afford the really expensive stuff. cheers

yea thats the best plan ive come up with so far, only thing is i havent managed to get hold of a good bonnet yet, the one i have is dented at the front so i wouldnt want to risk using it in case its bent and the wings have cost me way more than i thought they would so im having to hold back a bit. iv seen a few on ebay but there miles away!
