Love it Ive been telling people for years theres nothing wrong with Liverpool, I was born in Whiston General and lived in St'Helens and Widnes until 6, then we moved. I'd go back with out a moments hesitation should the oppertunity arrouse. We (Watford, I too work for Arriva) where promised 12new buses for our flagship route. What did we get? 6 New Solo Optares(sp?) Tiny horrible little things with the wheels at the front and 5 New SB120 Plaxton Bodied which arer way to big for the 10route weve got them on. None for our flagship route though. Arriva Expect anything less??

Ive a cage in the Escort and it doesnt interfere with the front two seats at all. It does however make the rear seats useless which is a bonus as I have an excuse to never take more than one passanger anywere. Gives a bit of added saftey and I quite like they way it looks.

Unfortunatley Id love to say I use mine every day but I dont. Since its MOT in August last year Ive put no more than 300 miles on her, I wont take it out unless its dry and I try to clean it all off before it gets tucked up in the garage, which is all carpeted out. I do drive it the way it should be (Sideways) when its out though.

I got a brilliant fitted Mk1 Escort cover from CarCovers The advertise in Classic Ford 01933 410851 only 118 inc delivery Its Waterproof and breathable it fits real well and theres a zip up the side so you can still acsess the car without wipping the whole cover off.

Just wanted to say what a Aladdins cave of bits and bobs. Always seen the ad in Classic Ford etc and on the web but Ive never taken the time to go and look. The guy with the Red Mk1 Escort really seem to know his onions and has given a fair bit of advice in the past and today. Only went down there as my friend needed some 4point harnesses and I ended up leaving with a Mk1 Indicator stalk and a pair of 2nd hand bullet mirrors for the tidy sum of £25. I cant recomended them highly enough at this moment in time. Although with all the lovely car parts around us my GF seemed much more intrested in the shops dog

Oil choice?? 2L Pinto, BVH, RL31 Cam, Injection rods & Balanced. Im unsure of the right grade of oil. Anyone??

Work for the bus company Arriva. Started out as a driver 12months ago, Im now an Inspector/Duty Manager. Best paid job and with the most responsibility Ive ever had, I actually quite enjoy it as well .

How much was the electronic ignition? as Id like to do this before the 48's go on

Top quality motor by the sounds of it, how often would something like that need a rebuild though?? From what ive been told its also down to the amount of air the head will flow not always down to the cam.

Heres the story. Take a normal looking front end Take the grill of making it look very sad indeed Fit them on after an hour of Halfrauds B&Q and Wickes to find correct bolts. Refit the Grill (Covers Off) Refitted Grill (Covers On) Turn Them On (Covers On) Turn Them On (Covers Off) Stand back and admire (If your into this sort of thing) Very happy that ive finally got round to fitting them, impossible to look @ the front of the car with them on full beam now. So all them people with ill adjusted head lights be aware when I let you pass me have your shades on .

spot on its a 07 plate 8legger quick for a lorry off the mark tho when u get to 56 its like hitting a brick wall that would be them darn restricters then!! ir are they only on artics?? No we have them fitted to all our fleet of bus's at the depot. Although a few from back in the day havent been touched and you can get 70+ out of a 38foot bus which is fun slowing it down can be almost as much fun. messenjah I also seem to get about 100-130 out of £20 but she gets driven quite hard sometimes and its a 4.1 diff so no long gears.
