  1. We sure are it's just me and the good lady in a ideal world i would pick it up on they way back but the garage is closed fron Saturday afternoon. It's no great drama and i fully understand the camp site has limited room ect but thought if i could buy a cer pass of some sort it may save me a second trip. Cheers Richard
  2. Just using the escort on the tour the other is a Sierra Cosworth i take to a garage in Sidmouth for work but it's over a hour from Portland and seems mad to do the same journey twice when we drive past on our way to the moor
  3. Hi Folks we are Booked to camp on the tour and plan to drive down Friday from Weymouth which isn't too far but by pure coincidence we have another car that we have to collect from a garage in Devon the same day.Too save making 2 journeys we are looking to bring both cars Friday night and travel home Saturday night would we need 2 camping packages???thanks for your help in advance
  4. Thanks folks just had a look at the burtons cast ones and will have a look and see what length i need and get one ordered
  5. I watched that go through the auction and it made £180k plus buyers fees on top
  6. Evening Folks i took my mk1 escort down for it's mot and it turns out the steering coupling is worn and after a quick look it seems there are a few types too choose from and i wondered if anyone has any preferences on the best ones???
  7. we have only had our MK1 for 3 weeks now but have been useing our 87 cosworth for years and was very surprised how much attention the mk1 draws and from a different type of person. It seems the older classic is seen to be cool by young and old alike where the cos is middle aged blokes like myself and real petrol heads
  8. Finally picked her up Yesterday unfortunately my better half fancied the first go and kept hold of the keys for the whole 170 mile home leaving me viewing the escort doing the fly pasts from my transit van.Prized the keys from her today and so far very pleased with the car, fast enough for a bit of fun with a sound to die for.I have a few very small things i would like to sort over the next few months, rev counter needs wiring and she seems to have a bit of wheel wobble when turning left at speed but nothing to major.A few pics of our outing today as i know people like pic's
  9. Welcome Charlie, new here myself still finding my way around
  10. Here you go Duffers the only ones she could find
  11. Will see if i can get SJ to dig out some pic's for you Duffers and put them on,also you must do something about that ECHO
  12. Tbh i no very little about the car but know Mickey through my interest in the rs500,he tends to have some nice cars so when he offered me this i found it hard to refuse
  13. Thanks for the welcome folks and as Mickey has assured me the car has my name on it here she is A well know car here i think. My plan was to scratch this itch with a standard car but as i enjoy driving my cars when this came up i just couldn't say no
  14. Mine was a mk1 rs2000 psg361m i bought when i was 18.The car ended it's days in my ownership after a bit to much fun and a slide into a sherpa van.Sold the old girl on for £300 and she was broke up.I have a feeling the reg was resurrected some years later.
  15. Just up the road from me so will be making the trip
