  1. Yeeeah even got my dirty Opel in there. cheers
  2. On the way to CF, infact probably 10mins out of Podington, my mate Ed's front caliper bolts fell out of his MK2 Escort and took a chunk of RS 4spoke with it, so that kinda let the air out of the tyre haha. Luckily the local traffic cop saw us and was actually really helpfull. Coned off an area of road for us, and even got another car to come with a jack (we stupidly didn't take one). Oh and after a little while of hooning around on the Sideways Area in the *cough*Opel Kadett*cough*, my 'tempory puncture repairs' (screws in the tyres which I forgot about) got ripped out, tyres deflated, and then came off the rim - ballix. So MASSIVE thanks to the lads that helped me fix the wheel and tyre situation and get me on my way back home!
  3. Screw it, I just ordered 1 of the steel arches meant for 13", as they kind of measure up with what I had in mind, and 1 of them is plenty wide enough to do both rear arches Best idea of the day to jpayne
  4. You absalute hero These kind of things look promising! : http://www.trailerpartswarehouse.co.uk/trailer_parts/single_steel_mudguards_prices_66.html
  5. Cheers P.S I found this picture in an old issure of Retro Ford I want arches like those! Any idea where they come from?
  6. Cool, don't suppose you have a contact for him?
  7. Please resist burning me, but I have an Opel Kadett C (XE hehe) that's in need of some wider arches (I'm using a Manta axel which is alot wider). I've been trying something for the car, but theres only big nasty Chevette arches so far, so I've been looking at MK2 Escort stuff. Could anyone get me some rough measurements, such as the width at the widest point, and maybe the height? Finally, where can I get CHEAP arches from?
  8. Besides, you shouldn't do a thing to that MK2!! Sah-weeet.
  9. My rad fell off, yes fell off, on some country lanes. So I've been fitting another one today. Sorted.
  10. Sorry I didn't turn up guys. I had a bit of a girlfriend issue, which obviously would of been made alot worse if I'd gone playing with cars
  11. topi

    RIMS

    Alleycats for me.
  12. I'll be there as long as I can afford the petroleum. Though I'm not sure what car I'll be in, it'll be something interesting at least.
  13. OH i am well up for that Thirded (that's a word right?)
  14. Its like something from a movie. I've never really been interested in Wales before, but now I'm trying to plan a trip there! Are all these kinda roads northern then?
  15. Man, those guys are suckers! Haha. Deffinately shows up what kind of people drive Evos and Imprezas nowadays. I can't want 'till I can get an old Ford which is actually quite fast.
  16. I'll be there. With this quote to back me up: "its as much about the people as it is the cars!!!"
  17. Looks really nice. I'm not big on colour schemes etc, but the grey/red looks sweet. May I ask how much it was picked up for?
  18. You can buy a 2meter length of mild steel exhaust tubing from most motorfactors for about £10, and then just cut/bend it to fit. Job's a goodun.
  19. I'd be interested in coming guys, if that's ok of course... My car isn't oldskool, however it is a RWD Ford, and oldskool is in my heart . I know Retro Rides uses Tamworth Snowdome as a meeting place (just off the A5), if thats any good.
  20. Hehe, right at home It's indeed very fun for me too, but even the simplest of tasks such as pulling out of a junction, turn into sideways antics for me (welded diff) It's fun until you've got a truck that refuses to slow down coming towards the drivers door ha. I think I might be forced to go and patrol my local industrial areas tonight, since it's slightly wet Oh btw, your Capri looks awesome in your sig Daveyboy
  21. It's the best bit! Hehe.
  22. I'm still on my first car. 2.0 Sierra 5 door. Stripped, Konis, Welded diff. A fair crack better than the 1.2 Clios etc hehe.
