If you can keep the paint on your manifold you are't driving it properly. B&Q BBQ paint is the best I've ever used. Still doesn't last forever though.

How would you feel if some innocent person was tortured and killed due to people spreading these lies? Is it any different to what happened to Jamie Bulger? Don't get me wrong, what happened to that poor little lad disturbs me even now, but torturing and killing (because that is what will happen) someone that had nothing to do with it is no better in my book. It is bad enough that 10 year olds could do such a thing, but for adults to go out and do these things deliberately and in a premeditated way to what could easily be an innocent person is nothing short of sick.

Don't know for sure about Capri sizes but M8 usually does the trick. I always use bolts these days, no issues with them.

Here's a question then. My new pinto is a 2.1 and a bit. Overbored with offset ground crank and xflow rods. Ported efi head with bigger inlet valves fitted. FR32 cam and all the new bits involved with that. lightened flywheel. Modified 32/36 sat on a modified inlet manifold. All put together by someone very clever with these things. It will be put into a Mk1 Capri. The Rover 200 I mentioned is in fact a Rover BRM and does set off pretty rapid when I try. Question is, will the pinto accelerate faster in the Capri than it did in the Rover?
