  1. I have one on the Prefect, nice and neat, cobbled together from bends and straights from the local motor factor. However, its noisy and ive really gone off it, but it can be done.

  3. My brother has a pinto, rocket box and 3.5:4 combines good back road messin and comfortable motorway 80-90mph I have a pinto, 5 speed and a 4.1, starts screaming like a banshee about 65-70 Im therefore a great believer all in final drive choice.

  14. I cant believe that places like British Heritage havent considered reproducing shells, say for example the most sortafter Mk1 Escort. Looking on the site its mostly stuff like BL and Triumph, so I wonder if it wouldnt consider Ford as it was an American based company? Surely the international interest in such a car for restoration and competition would warrant commercially viable production? (Especially the Irish and Welsh rally boys) I suppose it would affect smaller companies producing pattern parts and panels and that would be a bad thing, even maybe even pull valuation down, but in the cut throat world of business this would be a small consideration. Even Ford itself jumping on the bandwagon to meet restoration supplies? Anyone else ever pondered over this?
