Love the idea, but he would have been a lot better using an M3.
£2k buys one with near 300BHP these days after all!
Does, look pretty messy, but can't deny that projects like this appeal to me lots!
Looking for ideas for various ways to link up a live axle.....
I've got some myself, but we're looking for more ideas and want to see if there's any different variations on the go? And what's the most effective.
The car getting linked up is my Capri, but happy to see pix from any car.
Hmm, Explorer being only an inch wider and offset makes it sound like hassle.
Big cheap Volvo unit sounds tempting though! Especially if they can be redrilled for 4x108 easily enough...
What live axle could happily take 400BHP+ of hard use?
Preferably one of similar dimensions to an Atlas.....
Also it would have to run a 4x108 PCD or be able to be converted to run this.
It's the Capri in my sig, mainly for drift use but really just every kind of hoolaginism possible
Running various 15" rears including 9s, 8s and 7s.
Not linked yet but will be getting a 5 link kit soon.
I already bust a shaft before it was welded one drift day though
Or should I say how much torque?
Thinking of about 300BHP & 300Ib/ft or V8 goodness possibly. I've heard they're strong, but how strong?
Mine's also welded so I would imagine the even distribution of power should help too.
