  1. I need to improve the steering on my Capri for drifting...... Thought that somewhere would have made a quick rack but seemingly not. Anywhere that is used to modding/uprating racks? I was ideally thinking of a 2.8i PAS quick rack if such a thing existed, but also the issue of fitting it is another thing. Don't you need a 2.8i crossmember to fit this rack? Or could it be easily adapted? Not sure how this would work in my Pinto'd Capri....? Also anyone know how many turns lock to lock both the standard and PAS racks are? Also the idea of an inline electric power steering motor sounds interesting, anyone know about them?
  2. thats why i dont run a OSF on the road I still only get 20-25MPG in my other cars so not that much worse really
  3. Hell why not?! Up until not long ago I did 30k a year in my Capri 2.0 Pinto, Rally cam, DGAS, 15MPG, was great fun I just put a Disklok on and never had any trouble. Only don't now as I need more space to cart stuff about....
  4. Quality! Check the fancy git in the new blue Sie*ra taxi at the front of the que!
  5. First time since the 90s?! I've tended to average about one a month for the past ten years
  6. Let's have a thrash! I want to come and abuse my car at Brunters!
  7. I know, I know.... and it was not long ago we spoke of another car snapper who'd ended up banned! Yes, I had it coming! What did they think of the Fiesta? BOOM-TISH!
  8. A few of my pix to add....
  9. .....so you eventaully ended up doing the same as me after the MK1 meet at Loch Lommond too and bought a MK2! Great wee cars, I went for the hooligan spec (see below), although I am envious of the grandad chic you've got going on there

    Fast Transit ?

There used to be a YB Mk3 Minibus up my way a few years ago, was very quick until aerodynamics got the better of it!
  11. The Laser page was great a few years ago, shame it went subscription only though
  12. First thing is that they need about 90% of the springs chopped out! They're a nice design, and look pretty cool but about as macho as a handbag.
  13. I'm glad to hear that, thought maybe it was modded by someone on crack for a minute Any pix of this sitting low? Or 'performing'?
  14. WTF's going on here?! Looks stunning, well, apart from the obvious
  15. Looks like a great trip..... They sure like their bikes over there
  16. £50?! Probably £150+ for me
  17. Two teeeeny pix, hardly features!
  18. Same colour, bit of colour coding, no major bodywork, and sorting some minor rust and small dings etc...... Drive in drive out service... what's the ballpark figure I should be hearing when getting quotes? (got one today for £1200 from a place with a decent rep').
  19. Sounds like a timewarp scrappy! Think my next trip down south should include a vist!
  20. That's stunning! Can't wait to get into a proper bit of drifting
  21. That's an intresting yard! Up here it tends to just be post 2000 modern crap in them! Bring back the days of scrap metal being worthless, which meant even the lowest value cars in breakers were raped of every part before being crushed!
  22. could be worth a try!
  23. ok, how about south of the border?
  24. I used to always use Robinson Tuning who were ideal.... weber dealers with a dyno, but that's finished now Any ideas on other places? Tempted to get a set of DCOEs as well, hence wanting to know where's good for a setup too....
