sounds like a faulty switch if they are spooling up when you bypass the switch if your not using a relay maybe the high voltage draw has fried it?

Sigma Lens' are great i have 2 and love them 10-20mm (the wide angle) and 18-200mm paid £300 second hand for the wide and and £130 second hand for the zoom my zoom shots uploaded here are off a Tamron 70-300mm which i paid £120 for NEW great budget lens just double check your body if it doesnt have the focus motor in the body your restricted a bit with whats compatible

soon gets very expensive camera body and wide angle together are worth £600 second hand never mind brand new really chuffed with some of the shots though
