  1. Only the certain ones had a COSCAST head, and the only real benefit is that they dont go pourous. Xe is deff the way to go for a 200bhp 16v. Anything more and you will be looking at spending some serious money so then you can look at a N/A Cossie lump, otherwise no point. Anyway, where did you find out that a XE is soo good then???? LOL Cheers, Mike

  7. PMSL, just noticed you bought Yodi's alleycats. He is pretty much my best mate so keeping them wont be a problem mate. They are about 10 mins from my house anyway. Mike
  8. I live in N14 mate, about as North London as it gets, where abouts you need the wheels picking up from, got plenty of space in my garage so no probs keeping them for a while if needed. Cheers, Mike

  12. PMSL, ok cool. Well, I guess that means it was still in one piece, or maybe it was just the log book that moved. I'd love to buy the reg back, damn I miss that car. Long shot, any way of finding out where it has gone too? Mike
  13. I'm having a blonde day, but does that mean my car isnt in the country any more? Also, whats RS Vista? Mike

  15. Has it got 4x4 running gear in it too then??? Very nice though mate, been plumping up to buy a couple of these modded ones off ebay, just trying to realise spending £140 on 2 models isnt mad Mike
  16. Gotta be flat front, imo of course, but it just looks miles better to me. Cheers, Mike

  19. Ok guys, my mate is in the process of buying a mk1 and we are looking for colours. He has seen that Lombard Grey mk1 tine in the newest classic ford and was wondering if any of you lot can turn a mk1 into that colour so we can see what it looks like. Havnt got any decent pics of a mk1 so I will let you choose, lol Closest colour match I could find on any car pic I have is this. Thanks in advance. Cheers, Mike
  20. Please divert your attention to my post in the photoshop section. Many thanks guys. Cheers, Mike
  21. you havent been here long enough yet...... subjects to avoid: type 49 shells, NOS, magazine rivalry...... the moderators are good people though I know about those already mate, I have been a member of Alcoholics Anonymous and RSOC for the last 6 years. The magazine bit is new to me though, loced the idea that the editors were online here, although ''that'' thread where there was a few things said certainly opened my eyes a touch. Still its a top site, and is now set as my homepage. Cheers, Mike
  22. Nice one mate, that will be very handy. Where abouts did you live round here? Cheers, Mike
  23. Including the managment system, injectors???? TBO I have never heard of titan throttle boddies so cant really comment on them, but Jenvey and so on I see all the time, for the size of throttle boddies, 38mm, 40mm, 42mm and management you would need to make decent power and not be restricted to 180bhp would cost between £1600-£2000, thats most likely running the base map for the throttle bodies too, so would need mapping also. Your probably about to shoot me down in flames with price quotes you have got, but thats cool, cos if its cheap enough I will get them for my XE, LOL Cheers, Mike
  24. Thats my point tho mate, you gotta use cams for a Zetec and 2ks worth of throttle bodies on the Duratec. But as you say its each to their own.
  25. The way I see it is that you whack twin 45s on a XE and you get 180bhp with a decent exhaust. To get that from a Zetec with the same torque and so on you would need to do more to the engine. As far as im concerned, a XE will give me more go for my money, plus I love the engine and have worked on loads when I was a Vaux tech. Yes its a Vaux engine in a Ford, but its a good Vaux engine so thats cool. Cheers, Mike
