  1. Engine bolts are usually UNC, and I suspect body bolts & suspension will be UNF. Rocker covers are probably 1/4 UNC, inlet & exhaust manifolds 5/16 UNC, Bell-housing either 3/8 or 7/16 UNC. It's always handy to have a selection of 1/4, 5/16 and 3/8 UNF nuts, bolts & washers. (Washers are more-or-less the same as 6mm, 8mm & 10mm)
  2. That's not being a sucker, that's being very sensible. Aside from a couple of trusted suppliers I deal with, we shop around for parts and services all of the time. It's amazing (especially when buying parts from the US) how much you can save by spending a few hours on the internet! Shop around, and only commit when you are 100% happy
  3. We do all work on all Fords (all cars in fact) and not just Mustangs. Have a look at my car (the kissmyrs website), all the work on that was done by us (except the paint). Be glad to give you a quote.
  4. Fox and early SN95 Mustang V8's are going for about that. Loads of sideways fun! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1989-FORD-MUSTANG-5-0GT-CONVERTIBLE-25TH-ANNIVERSARY_W0QQitemZ320312301148QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item320312301148&_trkparms=72%3A1301%7C39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
  5. I had virtually exactly the same response for a motorbike that was advertised just-too-cheap. The guy said he was out of town so would have to arrange a company to collect it from him and deliver it to me. I said I wouldn't buy it without seeing it (I'd have to pay him in advance and he would 'refund my money if I wasn't happy' when it was delivered) and strangely all communication stopped. The same bike cropped up on about three other ebay auctions (all apparently from different sellers) all with the same sob-story. Lessons: 1 - If it seems too cheap, there's probably a problem. 2 - Don't part with any money for a vehicle without seeing it. 3 - The 'eBay' Vehicle Purchase Protection Program' isn't worth dick. 4 - Paypal are as good as useless as well in claim circumstances. 5 - Report these f*ckers to ebay and the other sites they appear on!
  6. Have a look at http://www.motuk.co.uk/manual/contents.htm All of the MOT requirements, written in blue & white!
  7. If nothing crops up out of the blue, then I'll be there.
  8. What day is that on?
  9. its about time mate...... i wanna another go now
  10. After chasing an ignition problem for ages, it's finally sorted: And I love it!!!
  11. We've braved the trip from the 'Deep South' a few times, and I really wish it was closer as I think the atmosphere is superb. No, it is no Santa Pod, but there again you don't pay for the privilege. The track is good enough for Sleathy and the local guys to run 8's on it. The staff are always welcoming and helpful. It's very reminiscent of the 'Pod in the late 70's. We did a 0-60 challenge there in the wet! A bit lairy but good fun (3.5 sec's, spinning the wheels to over 100 mph!). Can you see them allowing that at the 'Pod, where they stop you running if someone sneezes on the run-off area? Nope, you need to see York for what it is: a struggling clubbie strip where everyone works really hard to make it happen. I'd be there every week if it was closer! York deffo gets the
  12. BIG apologies to anyone who turned up specifically to see my RS, but one of the perils of having your own business is needing to work where and when the customer wants you - at 8:00 tonight I was still under a car in East Grinstead. If anyone is interested we (Surrey Mustang) are organising a Mustang/AC/Old Ford meeting at our workshops on Sunday the 26th October. We'll lay on food & soft drinks, and all are welcome. I'll post all of the details in it's own thread, but I will need to know numbers for the catering side of things. T
  13. All is good. Just wired up the nitrous purge specially for the occasion!!!!

Don't forget the standard Escort touring spares: Sprig of Heather, Horseshoe, 4 leaf clover, Rabbits foot, Not forgetting the Valium, and if all else fails the bottle of Jack Daniels. Good luck
  19. Oh, and we don't just do modification work on Mustangs
  20. Ah, Meat & Cheese. Great place for a rude tee shirt, and the 'Guffhopper' video is not to be missed! http://www.meatandcheese.co.uk/
  21. Just had an article done on the company by Performance Car Magazine. Not really old skool (though most of the cars are Ford related), but if you look closely in the pic's you'll see the top of my RS9000! Now form an orderly queue for autographs..........
  22. Choice of 2: Or: But probably the second one. Air under the front tyre!
  23. There is a small blind-spot that tends to obscure cyclists... ...but then who gives a flying f@ck about cyclists?
  24. Thanks for the comments guys. At this stage I should do a long and weepy thankyou speech (like Gwynneth Paltrow) thanking everyone who helped in the build, but f@ck it - it was all me!!!!
