Mark's van and Colin's Saxon got the most positve feedback from what we heard I think. I feel in love with both cars, as well as Nick's Mk1 Crossflow Cortina on the South London display. Never seen the car in the flesh before and loved it. Also Rotary powered Escort sounded mad, Wenny's car went like mad and the white Mk1 Escort estate dropped about 6 inches over Minilites looked mad for me!

Yep same guy, bit of a quarter mile animal when it comes to YB and 4x4. Van ran low 11s I think! He's trying to buy it back to do a round of Time Attack I hear!

Wenny is his name. Car has a Cosworth 4x4 floor pan, 680bhp YB Harvey Gibbs engine running 36psi, FFD sequential gearbox, 9" rear diff, 8" front etc... Ran a 10.04@137mph first time out! It used to run very low 10s with no cage, a normal 'box and 550bhp so the revamp this year he wants a 9.5@150mph! However, the car had a problem with a misfire at the top end of 6th gear which they couldn't diagnose. Turned out it was banging the limiter at 137mph and wouldn't go any faster!

Ha! Yeah that's what I been finding. Can't remember what rear disc conversion it uses. Fiesta or Escort stuff I think.

Trying to work out what budget I have left for my car considering I can sell all my current running gear that I'm replacing. Don't really know what it's worth as I've kept an eye on eBay for engines similar to mine and the prices seem all over the place. Can someone suggest what I would expect to get realistically for this lot currently in my Mk2 Cortina. -2.0 Pinto with manifolds and 32/36 carb. Runs really well. -Type 9 box. Good condition. -Flywheel and clutch which I think is uprated but need to check. -English rear axle with rear disc conversion. -Exhaust system and prop for the above. Any suggestions? Won't be coming out the car for awhile yet, just trying to work out what I can get back on it for other bits I need to buy!
