  1. Period colour (ish), Highland green Would look good on an anglebox i fancy ? Modern metallic colours like the peugeot tuscan green do look good, but I personally prefer a flat colour for older cars.. just my opinion
  2. gippos, tinkers, diddys, knackers whatever the name
  3. Just had a pm from gareth of classic ford fame and he wants to feature my mk1,so i'd better pull my finger out and get it done- :extract digit smiley: awesome looking car
  4. i usually prefer a mk3 to a mk2, but in some colours they look awesome a black mk2 S, for instance, better than any mk3 in my eyes also the mk2 X pack is an awesome looking car, much nicer than the mk3 with the clumsy wrap around bumpers a lot of the more mundane colours / trim levels make the mk2 look uglier just be grateful we didnt get the US spec 'surprised' headlights and ENORMOUS safety bumpers on our mk2 / 3 capris
  5. haha, OY OY OY OY EYE EYE EYE wtf was going on with the turn, for so many guys to get it wrong :S
  6. mat black it, would be awesome
  7. haha yes, same here, this time of year the LSD comes into its own
  8. that pinto also looked pretty fooked and was it defintely a 2 litre ? i missed that bit
  9. 24v v6
  10. most young ppl seem to like my crapi, you get plenty of looks and some "dats sick man " or whatever. loads of people around my age (mid 20s) seem to think its a bit crap, but like i give a fook best comment i heard was a young lad about 16-17 and his mrs, walking past the yard where i work, the car was parks a few feet from me i was unloading a wagon he was lookin it over caught a few complimentary words, he gets to the front and i clearly heard him go " what the fook, its a ford !?" i couldnt help cracking up at that
  11. i think that looks King cool hard as fook m8 if i had a capri which needed some bodywork doing (i do , oops) id be well tempted to give it a matt black or red oxide look. there was an x packed mk3 on ebay which was painted red oxide, looked very cool, that was on slots aswel the slots look spot on painted black to match aswel whatever else, its your own car now, not just another silver 2.0s same as every other silver 2.0s...
  12. never done it myself, but what i dont understand is why cant they have a different shaped nozzle for petrol / diesel u could make a collar type thingy to fit current cars?
  13. virtually everyone i know says my capri is a joke anyway, i have developed a thick skin id have thought a serious against for escorts would be sky high prices for decent cars ? at least compared to other OSF's anyway
  14. i'm only guessing, but i would say that even the lighter all aluminium engines like bmws or hondas will be a fair bit heavier than a x flow they have to be built to such a higher spec to stand the compression ratios of 17-18:1, i would guess once you add all the turbo gubbins your looking at the weight of a YB rather than a x flow
  15. looks great hmm, i cant afford a 2 door escort but an estate... looking at yours it is tempting
  16. i'm sorry you have to put up with this nonsense ken i'm certainly gonna write a receipt out for any cars i sell in the future best of luck mate, i'm sure you wont end up out of pocket for it
  17. i defintely prefer the mk2 capri style bumpers, front and rear, in chrome if you have a dark coloured mk3, or satin black if not i dont think much of the plastic wraparound mk2 bumpers, they are from the wrong era to go on capris, suit things like the mk3 escort much better
  18. did the same with the 2 white capris ive owned, it definitely looks better
