Thanks for the positive feedback peeps! I will be sure to keep you posted! I havent touched it for a couple of weeks now cuz of xmas etc, but come the new eyar, get stuck straight back into it! I want it done for the spring time, so i can test it on the local track (Castle Combe) thats where i bed in and test all my finished project cars! haha. My cars are loved but get a real hard life. Im always around to give friendly help mate! Dont tell me....... you got a toyota 5000 system (black central locking/alarm remote with a black and red button on it) If so, you might wanna PM me, as its quite a long story with those darn things

Yeah i know! haha. I wish i could say i made them all myself, but as everything is so easily available these days theres no point wasting my time. Most of the stuff i bought is either 2nd hand and reconditioned, or bargains from autojumbles/shows and stuff ive had left over from other classic ford projects! Apart from seals, and stuff like bias pedal box etc. I cant wait to get the welding done and get it in the bodyshop. She will be wicked. Yeah its pretty awesome! I bought it off my dads mate to do many of my previous project cars, and makes life so easy. Your not a famous "Harris" boy are you by any chance?? Well im not hugely proud of fitting a Jap lump in a classic ford, but i love the engine and i love the cars, so its the best of both worlds for me. Plus when i get bored of the std injection system and slap on some throttle bodies, they sound like a BDA! The best sound in the world. Funny you should mention the kwak green colour! I had alot of people hate that idea, so thats what made me think, and eventually i thought of all the pro's and con's, and went fot more of a classic colour! The wiring looks abit mad, but once you get it round your head it aint so bad, but i do work for Toyota and been a mechanic for 7 1/2 years so you kinda get used to it (just) haha. Thanks for the comments lads!

Hopefully it will look something like this soon. This was the colour i was going to go for, but felt it just abit too wacky, and a big copper stopper, so im now going Ford Signal Amber Love that colour! Lovely flocked dash, courtesy of Central Blast Cleaning! New seals all round! A must for this leaky old ford

Cheers Jason! Yeah that picture defo captured the feel/scene that day lol Yeah i dont know many classic ford lovers that like my Corolla, but i love it. Anything RWD from the good old days, jap or ford and i love it. This is kinda where the story is going tbh. I removed the cracking engine out of the Corolla (4AGE) to fit a 20valve 4AGE with throttle bodies etc. So i was left with a corker of an engine, and one std tatty mk2 escort! Can you see where im going with this? Basically i want a retro ford for a daily drive again as i love the character, but i want one that is quick, reliable, very revvy, (as im addicted to revs) but also good on fuel. So an engine transplant was on the cards, I would of loved to modify the 1700 xflow further, but to get good power from them, youve got to slap on a pair of webers, which then makes it shit on petrol Im not a huge fan on the zetec's as ive worked on many (being a mechanic by trade) duratecs are still too expensive, pinto's are too heavy and if it hasnt got 4 cylinders and lots of rev's im not interested. BDA being the best engine ever the 4AGE is a carbon copy of it, as the Japs copied it down to the cc, valve angles, material etc etc. The 4AGE has 130bhp, revs to 7700rpm in std form, returns 35+mpg when driven normally, and still returns good economy when ramped the hell out of. And the best bit is that its one of the most reliable engines ever to have graced the planet (can you tell i love the 4AGE) Soooooo......... mix these 2 together and you get a corker of a car, in my opinion anyway This is whats happened to the car so far, enjoy (i hope) and please dont hate the engine too much haha i know its not a ford lump. I'll let the pics do the talking, as its alot to write if i done a comment for each pic!

In the year '99/2000 i bought an absolute minter of a Mk2 Escort, one owner from new (as most of my cars were, lucky for me) 35k from new with all sorts of history, and it was a bargain (£800) as all of my cars are, as i like to rip off old people! lol Here was that Escort the day i bought it, Mmmmmmm nice colour and interior! But, as i was restoring and modifying this mk1 RS2000 (picture is once it was restored) and i also had my first AE86 (Corolla GT Coupe) as a road car (bit of an old skool jap car freak too) i couldnt afford to modify the mk2 as i wanted to, mostly down to the '86 insurance because i was 17 So i then sold the AE86 which then allowed me to buy another mk2 Escort which had all sorts off goodies on it, inc. 2.8 struts up front, billie shocks all round, 1700crossflow, strut brace, world cup cross member, anti dive kit, tramp bars, 2.8 capri brakes up front with 9" RS2000 drums at the back, low ratio diff etc etc which i wanted to put into my mint beige mk2 even though this white mk2 was completely rust free, just tatty around the edges I used it on the road for a year or so, before stripping the good bits off of it and putting them bits on the beige escort, and the standard bits off the beige escort onto the white mk2. AM I BORING YOU YET??? haha Unfortunately i ended up selling the beige mk2 (to fund another AE86 which i compete in hillclimbing in) as a rolling shell with all the good bits on to a mate, who then sold it to Gareth at West Wales Rally Spares (soon to be a fully blown grp4 no doubt) The day it went And yes, that is my old mans Anglia in the back round (another one of the classic ford collection in the family) I also sold my mk1 RS to fund my AE86 addiction This is my '86, that i doubt your interested in, but hey Anyway i was left with a near standard white mk2 just with a pokey engine so i decided to do some trials with it to be continued
