i was the same i wore glasses for 22 years and in may past i went and got the lazer eye surgery done i was always happy enough to wear glasses they never bothered me until i was going swimming because i couldn't see anything and it wasn't fair on the wee ones plus when i was going on rollercoasters it cost me £3500 because of how bad my sight was. we are paying it off but by god it is worth it. i would feckin hate to go back to wearing glasses i can see my alarm clock in the morning and see the shampoo in the shower Me too, got my eyes zapped nearly 10 years ago, best thing ever, i remember waking up in the middle of the night after having it done and not being able to get back to sleep coz i could see everything around my bedroom, amazing feeling, bit nasty having to smell your eyeball burning having it done but still well worth it, cost me a grand

Makes my blood boil too but they are only taking what our country gives them, if we were'nt such a soft touch they wouldnt be here draining OUR economy!!

I pulled the plug out, whipped the exhaust off, gave it a good soaking in oil and with a sharp pull on the stringy pully thingy the engine turned over, put it back together and all was good, i have faith dude, your blowy friend is not lost

I had a mini turbo years ago and i still reckon it was possibly the fastest and most dangerous car iv ever had, well it did have drums all round but my god did it shift, the bleed tap used to be undone so much that i kept it in my pocket was that a metro conversion or an era conversion Metro, right lash up it was, the bulkhead was cut so the turbo was in front of you while driving it, sounded like nothing iv ever heard and it never lost a race, dont know for the life of me how it never blew up, it had little 10 inch wellers which wouldnt stop spinning in any gear, great car!!

Thats not me with it but this is my old beetle It was my great aunties since new till i did this to it, slammed 6 inches all round, fitted a 1700cc engine with twin choke weber, cav sri recaros, big bass, pre 67 panels, american spec lights, finished in peppermint green, i loved this bug, it used to shoot flames out the exhaust on over run which i could time in an uncle buck stylee, good times

What fan is on it, my old escort had the old viscous fan and although it spun it didnt have any pressure behind it, i could stop it with my hand with the engine running and warm, let your engine warm up and turn it off, if the fan still spins freely by hand then its knackered and needs a large bolt through it to make sure its on all the time, if youv got a leccy fan ignore everything iv just said

Touching the bottom pulley wont affect the timing coz the x-flow got a fixed timing chain, sounds like a wires come off somewhere if it was ok before, just check all wires around the dizzy and coil, (it has got fuel hasnt it?? )

I think it should definatly be either a crossflow or a pinto!

Hello all , iv been drinking the red stripe for a long time now and i think its time to upgrade, iv thought through all the options and have decided against the STELLA due to the effect it has on our Admin , so my question is can anyone give any advise on possible alternatives as my alcohol pressure is getting dangerously low?
