time to pick your brains time a mate phoned me up today & said he might have found another car i mite be interested in (last one he found me was a 2 door mk2 escort 1.1 with 1 owner from new ) & as he is a bmw e30 nut he was not even sure it was a ford but said he saw corsair on it where the cover was off it so what i need is what to look for ? rough price guide ? how much parts are (as he thinks the front has had a bump ) ive had a quick look on the new bible (e-bay) & not really that much on there so any help would be good even some photos so i can send them to a mate to see if the car he saw looks like any of them as i dont want to find out its not what he thinks it is cheers

i agree with the ban to a point ( & i smoke ) but i worked at a place that tried this bus shelter out side smoke area & they had more down time as i worked nights i had to goto my locker get my coat & hi-viz walk across a loading bay have smoke then go back time 20 mins old smoke room 10mins as for pollution old car new car ??? lets not get started on that !!!!! body filler/paint/welding ??? guilty again ive got a few friends,a brother & a mother that dont smoke so i dont smoke in there houses or cars but when they are in my house/car i will smoke so its up to them if they dont like dont call round or get in my car so yes i will respect a non smokers rights as long as my rights are respected as well & as for its bad for my health so are a lot of other things BUT i have payed enough in tax on cigs to pay for private heath care & its MY HEALTH so keep a smoking area & non smoking area & if we want to kill ourselves & watch our money go up in smoke let us

tesco insurance took mine & i never saw it again & they said "AS WE HAVE PAID OUT FOR THE CAR IT IS LEGALLY OURS " but mine was a write off so i dont know where you stand with that ???? but you also said that all his mods are declared so if you take all the stuff off the car & replace it with the standard stuff they MIGHT,THATS MIGHT!!!!!! refuse a payout as that is not how they insured the car (they will try anything to avoid a payout been there done that ) & make sure you get it in writing off them that YOU get the car back whatever happens (if they agree to it )

i agree with the area where you are from as ive sent that many replies & pms saying " where are you from !!!" its daft but if you look there is a bit under your name that says LOCATION but people put things like "behind you " or "la la land" ( not sure if mine tells you where im from ) but whos the worst for it ??? mods,admin but im glad you sorted the "OFFERS" thing in the for sale thread how about a "what to look for when buying a ......." in all the forums about each car & make it a sticky as im sure there is enough knowledge on each car on here that will help people get a good genuine car ie specs,problems,what rough GUIDE prices they should pay ( i know its not that easy to price up what you cant see ) plus a common fault & repair guide for each car maybe for some of the people building strip/track cars the wieght of the bits & bobs that you remove so people can see how much wieght your car can loose just by removing/replacing stuff ie windows ,seats ,trim product that you would recomend to other members to use on there cars oils,polishes,tools,upgrades thats a few i can think of at the moment

might have to look into this a bit more

what do you need to do these (yes i know a car ) tax,mot,insurance ? as i was talking to a mate & he said it would be a bit of a laugh to do one but we worked it out it would be cheaper to to buy something cheap & use a trailer to get it there & back (plus if something goes wrong with it we could still get home i know the £100 rotbox that has a self flushing oil system on it is not going to be allowed any where near a strip/track i was thinking more of something stripped out with a decent sized engine that you can just use & abuse without worring about the mot ,insurance & tax as this will make it to exspensive plus it will get more of the younger drivers out there aswell & are track days the same as i was told the car has to be road legal for most of these motor sport days (as they call them )

theres a farmer that did wouldnt move years ago & they had to build the motorway around his house think its the M62 on the way to leeds but i think they would just put a compulsory purchase order on it now

ive got 2 teenage daughters that use it on there phones & msn (plus that has daft styles aswell ) but i think its down to habit (plus they all know what they mean ) even talking to them can get a bit confussing sometimes cos you have to TRY & keep up with the latest slang & when there mate are round but my brothers in law 18 & 21 F**K ME i think they should come with a translater or subtitles they sound like there drowning half the time

has anyone owned up to being the driver of the orange RS2000 ? or does anyone know who owns it ? like most people said right time right place would have been fine but it was a medium sized carpark with a lot of people about (for the show,out with there kids & locals walking there dogs ) & some really nice cars there ( luckly it was just a barrier he hit ) but what you cant see in the photos is the car park is on a hill so where he was there was leaves ,mud & oil (got to love ford self flushing system ) plus it had been raining the night before so it wasnt the best place to do it but other than that it was a good day it just didnt need the bad press at the end as there is no chance of getting that as a regular meet

you mean the minimum amount of force needed to defend yourself or other people from a violent or life threatening situation as said before if you were in daggle position would you answer some of these questions ? after all its his job & putting something like "no if you drive like a t**t in an old skool ford i'll turn a blind eye" or "i gave this one scrote a right kicking the other day" on a public forum & leave yourself wide open ???? yes we all know it happens as you get some people in every job that gets p***ed on power & makes the rest look the same !!!! i dont know daggle in anyway but he seems like the bloke that has a work life & a home life & try to keep them seperate as if you look at some posts im sure he could have arranged for a knock on a few doors by now sorry if this sounds a bit harsh but i know i come on here to forget about work (when i had a job ) dont know if daggle feels the same way

think isaw one of them & he went all the way to america to meet one of them & it turned out he had just come to the uk so they missed each other

i got made redundant on the 5th december 2006 but at least i got christmas & new year off

yep the jago jeep boys bought alot off me back in the day alot of kit cars are made up of ford under pinnings cos they were cheap (way back when ) & reliable im trying to find a bloke near me thats got one as he said he had a load of spares in his garage from when he had his jago & other kit cars

yep thats how i got mine they get around it by being breakers or salvage yards but most of the time you have to send off for the log books as they dont have them but you get a reciept anyway my mate had a deal with a breakers yard where he got the car & all the bits to do it off them then just built them up & sold them but he couldnt buy a car if it had been used to commit a crime as these were break only or crush
