Sorry to awaken an old thread, but I still have the original 1970's pin type wiper blades on my RS but now one of the pins has broken. Does anyone know of a replacement option so I can keep the original wiper arms?

Well, I finally received a reply. "Based on the information that you have provided we can confirm that your vehicle, registration HLW32** is exempt for ULEZ. This means you do not have to pay the ULEZ charge to travel in the zone. You can view this by going to the Pay to Drive section on our website Please be advised that we do not have a live link with Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) database and this is updated periodically. If you have any questions, please visit tfl.gov.uk/ulez or call us on 0343 222 2222 (textphone 0207 649 9123 if you have impaired hearing)." So they don't have direct access to the DVLA database which is why they want all the photos I expect. Strange. Paul

Well, after filling in the required on-line form and attaching four photos of my RS, including a photo of the interior, and photos of the V5, i received this reply. "Thank you for your enquiry received 2 June 2023 about the Ultra Low Emission zone (ULEZ), vehicle registration HLW32**. Please be advised, your vehicle has been covered for the ULEZ until 6 December 2023 while the DVLA database updates. As your vehicle registered with the DVLA under tax class Historic vehicle you will not have to pay the ULEZ charge." Can anyone make sense of that because when I put my reg number into their on-line checker it still says that I will have to pay £12.50 per day!! I have replied to them with the same question and am now waiting on a reply for that. Paul

I have just applied to register my RS with TFL for ULEZ exemption, and you have to upload 4 photographs of the vehicle for some reason. They then say that they will be in touch within 10 working days! I don't understand what that is all about? Paul

Congestion charge is not included but all classic cars should be exempt, so your 3 should also be exempt

For those of you who live in and around London you will know that the ULEZ zone is to be extended later this year. My question is, although my RS is registered as a historic vehicle, if I go to the ULEZ checker website it still says I would have to pay the daily charge, even though Historic vehicles should be exempt. Is there any process that you have to take, i.e.. registering with TFL, or something that you need to do to trigger the exemption? Paul
