Can anyone recommend a good rally driving experience day? One which involves maximum driving and minimum standing around or being a passenger? Old Skool Ford content unimportant as its for my Dad who wouldn't know an Escort from an Evo anyway.
Can anyone help?
I don't know much about these things but just a thought:
You might need to spin the disk up on a lathe to see if its warped as a straight edge may not show it.
Hope this helps.
Thanks for the leads guys.
Lowering blocks will be used - but the springs are for the 'tina and need to be de-arched to get down to the same height as the standard Cortina - I got them de-arched but not quite enough - so they need kinking to get down that last bit.
Anyone know anyone who could kink some 2.8i single leaf springs to lower them a bit more (they are de-arched at the mo but need another few inches).
Round Guildford would be good
Cortina pub meet on Tuesday - assuming the you're still down south - at the Marquess of Granby, Esher (A3/M25). OSF's and owners welcome with or without Cortinas.
Some pics from last month: http://www.oldskoolford.co.uk/phpBB2/vi ... hp?t=23959
Saw this at the Goodwood Revival.
Pre-crossflow running forward through a cortina gearbox to a front diff and front wheel drive - in a single seater.
Anyone know anything about it - weird!
