GOt one cheap but i,m in norfolk i expect thats too far to travel. Its the one in the bottom of the picture.110 and 240v 4stroke engine .Made in the far east somewhere looks a bit cheap and cheerful but works ok.

My 1100 used to ice up every 10 miles or so in winter had to stop and wait a few minutes then it was ok. Hows that there anglebox coming along?

You should get a good low spec mk1 Fezz for a grand and i beleive it would make a far better first car than a frontera.

I think i asked this before but a long time ago .Did anyone here come across a crashed mk2 with this reg ?.Crashed it in august 2004 it was carted off and disposed of buy insurance company .would have got it home myself but was not good after accident.The car was white with red stripe,alloy arched ,superlites with black centres,castrol,motorcraft,rac graphics etc,It also had a rebuilt tuned pinto with less than 500 miles on it! Would be interested to know what became of it or if any of its parts helped anyone elses projects. I used to have a mk2 with a 160 bhp pinto ,2ltr type9 5spd,4.1 diff.This set up worked well for me as had good acceleration and a relaxed cruising speed.

The last time i paid 1500 for a steering wheel the rest of the car came with it!

As well as the freezer there is another annoying white thing in there in the shape of the wifes mr2.She does let me use the garage sometimes if its raining though The joys of married life..

The Fizzy is under going a few tweaks at the moment so is temporarily off the road .Darn annoying as its my only motor so gets used all year round as a rule. A shagged works transit is my mode of transport at present

Dont know about the nissan engine but the missus has an mr2 turbo with the 3s-ge engine .It seems quick as standard with around 225 bhp but i,ve heard they,ll take 300 with no internal mods.I keep trying to persuade her to break the toyota for parts and fit the engine in a mk1 fiesta for amusment value but have been unsuccessful as yet

CVH,Yeah i know its not popular on here but i already had it and couldnt find a fiesta x-flow at the time.They were designed in the 70,s so they are old skool to an extent.

I was wondering why people own the cars that they do. I have a couple of fiestas (one sort of running and one project)and i love them but only got a fiesta after i wrote off my rally rep mk2 escort in 2004 as i could not afford another one at the time and could buy and build a half decent fiesta for less than the price of a 2dr escort.So for me it was a financial thing and although i would have another escort i am quite happy being fwd.

My first ford was a cosmos blue 950 mk1 fiesta(FNG408T).I owned this in 1989.I,ve owned lots of old fords since but 18 years on i still have a mk1 fiesta .

A twist knot wire brush wheel on a grinder,It digs out paint and rust but leaves good metal(not me in pic).Or shot blast the rusty area with a spot blast gun which are cheap enough.Follow by a good zinc based primer
