In one of the side streets near my work in edinburgh theres a mint and i mean mint 1.6 lazer on a D plate , it was being driven by a student who parked it up two months ago untaxed so now its clamped by the dvla for tax evasion ive left several messages on the car to buy it but he has never been back to take any tickets , my notes or docs left stuck to the screen . i was wondering can you legally take the abandoned car on ? I read somewhere that you could but i dont know how. any ideas ?

I am a member of lots of forums and some are better than others for different reasons but I must admit that I only visit osf now and then these days. Reasons I feel Osf and some members have now got to big for its/there boots and that is a shame I love drag racing as the next person but it’s not the be all and end all of everything and the site is focused on it to much IMO Escortosis yes there are different old fords that ALL are worthy not just the escort and yes I have owned more that one escort back in the day I will continue to visit when I feal like it as I have made some good friends within Osf I know what you mean mate , the initial buzz of the site has been lost with the focus on racing and under the sheer weight of subscribers used to be i knew everyone and would have a laugh at the shows but this year at Cf and FF it didnt feel the same, Its a well laid out site full of experts but its lost its friendly face .....shame.

This car had a quaife rear end worth £1200 on its own ,top of the line suspension and the mintest interior worth £500 I just spoke with Adam who has four or five other mk2 capris , he builds and saves more cars than the large majority of people on any forum , In all honesty he has tried to sell the car for a couple of years but only offered muppet money , the shell will almost certainly be used to save rotten mk3 or another mk2 , all the other parts will go into other deserving cars and adam will get the money he wants ..... Its all good and ill be having a punt on the auction. Orange anyone ?
