  1. We had a yts boy in a garage I worked at, we got him to ring the motor factors to ask for a can of cold air to recharge an air con system. The fukin numpty at the factors went of to check the computer for a part number!!!!!!!! Two in one go...result!!

  4. If I remember rightly the bit on the end is ally and is pressed onto the steel shaft.It will take a bit of force to get it off and you may not be able to get a replacement unless you have a spare wiper rack. Its not designee to come off so bear that in mind.
  5. Last time I weighed in copper it was 2700 a ton, ally was 980, lead is well up too!

  10. You dont get a notch on the autolite dizzy (black cap) so if you have one of these then time up on tdc and then follow no1 plug lead to the cap and mark the dizzy body to line up with the plug lead. When you put the dizzy in remember it will rotate a little when it engages the gear!

  13. The spacer has two holes in it about a 1/4 inch dia and the radius of the curve is about 1" it is also about 2mm thick!!

  15. I suppose its worth what you want to pay for it. I think that some folks have a seriously optimistic idea of what their cars are worth
  16. Is it not the spacer that goes behind the cam gear? I would think it would be difficult for the thrust washer to fall out on its own. I have had problems when fitting duplex chains with the securing bolts hitting the cam spacer washer. Maybe wrong but thought I would give my two penneth
  17. Ford used recycled steel from the mid to late eighties and as a result a lot of their motors from those years rotted away. I bought a 1600 mk4 escy van in 1987, it was alredy beginning to bubble in places and within 6 months had surface rust on most of the underside. I sold it after 1 year b4 it got terminal

  22. When I was a young apprentice I walked over a commercial pit on the boards and stood talking to a mate for five minutes or so, then I turned round and fell crashing to the bottom of the pit! Some daft fuker had removed the boards and not bloody said a word!! I broke my feckin elbow too
