  2. anyone got one fitted and do they actually make much of a difference? was thinking of putting one on a mk2 escort, but want advice from the osf brain boxes 1st
  3. he's a top bloke, met him a couple of times up on the colin mcrae and had a good chat. genuine nice bloke bit more practise in an escort and he'll be good and dont roll in during practice yeah he does seem like a top bloke, proper chilled considering the crazy shit he does in that thing, if they asked me to slide 2 inches from the edge of a dock need several pairs of clean skids on standby
  4. damn right he has talent, , shame he can't put into good use on the rally stages, he usually crashes out, lol
  5. tge vinplate usually tells you what axle, trim, diff, engine etc is in it, classic ford did an issue not long ago to translate it it all, that should tell you everythin, can't help you with these numbers tho,
  6. haha, just found the 1st insurance agreement i ever had, 6 years ago on a 1.4i rover 200, R reg, 18yrs old, new driver..................£2146.66, hahahahaha, and i paid it cause that was the cheapest,
  7. oh dear, looks like theres gonna be a flood of osf owners tryin their luck at halfords, hahahaha, go on lads.
  8. if halfords do the tools you need to panel bash then yeah, they'd be discounted wit a card n i think filler counts to cause i got exhaust bandage n paste half price, so it should be ok, what u wanting like?
  9. doesnt wax oil dry up overtime n start to crack when its hit with stones bein fired off the tire? im gonna go for stone chip rubber stuff, never dries up n will keep those stones bouncing off for a long time, yippee!!
  10. thats exactly what i do with my mates, they're a pain in the arse tho cause they own vauxhalls n they're always breaking, hahahaha
  11. well i've been contemplating whether to buy some tools cheap n then pop them on EvilBAY, think im gonna do a recy n find out what sort of discount i can get on various tools, is that wrong?
  12. you need to have your mechanics certificates, too prove ur a spanner monkey, no need to prove you still work as one, i havent for 6 years, hahaha, just take them in store n they give you a card, ive had 76% knocked of sum stuff so far, haha, i got a service kit for my mondeo, consited of; 5 litres oil pack of bosch plugs air/oil/fuel filter all for £27!! the oil alone dropped form £25 to £11. oh the bargains to be had, lol, and they can get alot of mk2 escort stuff too.
  13. by al means speak to boggs but DON'T BUY THE CARBS OFF THEM!!!! they dont know what bike they come off n you cant buy spares for carbs you know nothin about, lol, the manifolds are good n the rollin road sessions r spot on tho, i run ZX7R carbs on my 1640 xflow, 120bhp at the wheels n theres still scope for more power out the carbs, so id say ur zx6's will be fine.
  14. i always leave mine up as i run lovely bike carbs n it confuses the old boys, they never know what they are, hahaha, but again, there's always sum1 on our club stand so im happy to leave it up and we have cordon the stand off so people cant reach the cars.
  15. Hot stepper!! ere comes te hot steppa, im the lyrical gangsta, nah nah nah nah nah nah, oh yeah!!!!!1
  16. i know halfords are robbin fookers but i've now got a halfords trade card n they match the price of part co etc, i bought our lass some brake light bulbs, on the shelf £2.99 for a pair, i piad £0.48p!! result, anyone else have a halfords card? just thought i'd have a sing song bout it cause i'm rather chuffed the only down side is i cant use it on shiny things, just servicable parts and tools.
  17. i didnt realise so many of you ran thicker on the back, looks like im gonna be givin it a go, nice one dudes n dudetts
  18. cool, i may very well give it a go then, just as long as the handlin dont go shit, lol
  19. im just wondering if the handling on my mk2 escort would be crap if i put 195 or 205's on the back but left 185's on the front? unless somebody knows if 195 or 205's will fit under 4door wings that r sitting 2inches lower than standard? aint bought anything yet, wanted to tap the well of knowledge on here 1st. cheers.
  20. i agree with all the statements above, i've had people walk striaght past my car at shows because, and i quote "its got too many doors", yet if they asked a question they'd find out that a 4 door can be just as much fun as a 2 door, mines quicker now than a few RS2000's round my area, but on the other hand, alot of 2 door owners have a good chat because they had a 4 door and it brings back memories. i bought a 4 door cause i always have people gettin in and out, just couldnt be arsed lettin them out all the time, and our lass was sick of me looking down the tops of the girls as they get out the back, haha
  21. well thats what im thinking, i think my twin box system is too quiet but my single box was too loud, so i want sumthin in the middle, i reckon this'll do the job.
  22. i already run bike carbs so ive decided to fit a micron end can too, now i know they'll be alot of people who'll say its a bad idea but.. the cans are alot cheaper than sport back boxes, most are already chromed or have the carbon look and most have a 51mm intake going in the back, which means its pretty easy to slot onto my 2inch system, looks, performance, sound, cost, whats not to like granted im not gonna have it poking out the back, just the tip, heres the one im thinking of, i dont think it'll look bad, what do you wonderful people think? once its mounted it should only be the back thats visible, this ones only at £0.99 with one day left! i expect it to go for £20ish, cheap as chips.
  23. thats a preety van how bout big b**tard? i had that name for my mondeo estate, before finding out how indestructable it is its now, THE TANK!!
  24. bloody hell, wasnt expecting so many replies, nice to see im not alone, aw, cheers dudes.
