Thinking of selling my Capri, what would I get for her? 2.8i special, she’s been re-sprayed, not a perfect re-spray but looks good. Engine is very strong, always starts and runs well, pulls like a train; she runs regular 16.0 quarter miles. Bad bits: Engine bay isn’t detailed, second gear on the gear box is a bit notchy and fibreglass bonnet look like a fibreglass bonnet should Could really do with bigger front discs to improve brake feel! Past the last 3 MOTS no bother, fully waxoiled and undersealed, all new parts. But with 50 profile tyres wont the rolling radius be the same?

me . first timer on any strip ill be in 2.0 capri fast road, hi torque cam 38 dgas 120 hp flywheel and 155 lb/ft, std trim and 5 speed transmission and 205/50 15's road tyres on the back, 195s front whats a respectable time?? i was thinking 18 seconds target my standard engine 2.0S 4 speed done a 17.3, so you should easly get a low 17 second time!

When I use my car in anger my second gear crunches when I engage it. In normal road use it is a bit notchy but OK, it’s only when I change up or down to second at higher revs. What’s causing this and is it time for a replacement? I don’t want it to explode when I’m out and about or drag racing! Cheers
