the guys at my local body shop have done a grand job only complant i have is they didn't take the bonnet off when they sprayed it so you can see the spray line around the inside of the inner wings and scuttle.
Apart from this it is fantastic and they only had it 2 and a half days
Only problem I have now is the rubber seal at the back of the sunroom has dropped down! anyone know how I can fix it? I can't find a way to get to it!
Heres some pics now I have most of her back together
na not re doing me bonnet but are doing all the rest, they are only rubbing it back and respraying it not re doing my dodgy prep work lol so it still won't be perfect.
cheers yeah it was in the reader cars section, it's also in retro ford this month
I checked out your myspace, your tunes are cool I'm a singer/songwriter, check out mine if you like! http://www.myspace.com/andylocksigma
Right, have got my car booked in for paint on monday, it's gonna take a week and come in less then 1000! (thanks to a loan from me old man) Hopfuly this will sort it.
I could rub it down but I am unsure how far to go, also I dont have a garage so would have to waite for good weather. Also not sure if I have the heart to do it again.
I think they are a good place, when I was there they where working on an old racing jag worth over £1 000 000 so I think they know what they are doing.
I'll have to have a think of what to do. On the one hand I could prep it again myself and save some money or on the other hand let the pro's do it and know it will be sorted!
It's a good job OSF's are worth it. I wouldn't go through all this stress for anything else
i took me capri to the local body shop and the gezza there says the blisters are caused by water from the spray gun, I did use a water trap/filter but obviously this wasn't good enough.
He said it needs to be rubbed back and then dryed then resprayed! He quoted me about 1000 to rub it back, dry it in the spray booth then respray it in 2pac. Does this sound reasonable?
They seem like good chaps and I have been down there a couple of times before to ask for advice and they are always happy to have the crack with me.
Of cause next problem is finding the money to get it fixed.
