  1. cheers bomber... have that kit already (although mine was from Matt Lewis Racing on ebay...very competative pricing for these things!) i need some plastic piping to run the 'straight cable tie things' through! stupid me bought the fan of ebay trying to do the clever DIY leccy fan job, didn't realise the mounting points arnt flush with the front of the fan!
  2. i beleive the saying is 'owned' or is it 'fail' these days?
  3. nice one! just looked on their website and they have loads of various materials and in various diameters! time to measure up and get down there!
  4. something to mount the fan with... the original mounting points are about 2" away from the face, so just need to fill the gap! seems B&Q might be the one!
  5. ... some plastic piping? i need it to mount a rad fan to the radiator... length not an issue cos i can cut it... but i think it needs to be around the 15-20mm mark on diameter? i was thinking some plumbing shop, but was hoping on here someone might now maybe an internet place cos getting time around work to go to shops can be nigh on impossible? Cheers
  6. that's about right, there's a good explanation here http://www.pumaracing.co.uk/trans.htm yes thats where id been looking me too! taught me how to be cynical that site!
  7. amen! FW power is for braggers down the pub! If you haven't got it at the flywheel you won't have it at the wheels !!! Bhp wins races, torque tows the race car to the track. Wheels figure is accurate, flywheel figure is not as it's based on run down loads and all that other guff. I'm with vista on this one... agreed it would be great if we could all have flywheel power done on a dyno... but i'm too cynical to beleive anything other than wheel power on the rollers
  8. furry muff!
  9. much better! by the way, get out of accounts mate and into tax (if you still want to be involved in accountancy) as accounts is essentially just data entry that a trained monkey can do! tax can be creative, you have to interpret things... plus you can stick it to the tax man!
  10. amen! FW power is for braggers down the pub!
  11. she doesn't have a permanant name... usually 'the cappa' or the 'crappy'... but i'm trying to think of a new name for her as like a project code name? either 'interceptor' or 'hammerhead'?
  12. to be fair... surely people who are looking at them are on the website OSF... bit of a giveaway, no?
  13. I'm a designer... but i'm too busy to help at the mo, sorry! but vista's idea of scaning a sketch (no matter how poor the artistic skills) really would make a designers life easier!

  16. can't do it now (maybe tomorrow morning) but i would love to see some AAR 'cuda stripes on a cappa! http://www.cartype.com/pics/1196/full/a ... _hood1.jpg or look at my entry into this comp... something akin to that? http://www.oldskoolford.co.uk/phpBB2/vi ... hp?t=87766
  17. my mate blew up a massive pic of me fooked out of my face for a house party on my birthday
  18. don't obcess over the final output in bhp... chriscapriman who had a similar but lightly higher specced pinto than yours only got 102 bhp... but 150 torque... which i would be happy with! remember bhp sells products, torque wins races!
  19. sod being an accountant at this time in the century mate... my old dear owns a quite successful accountancy firm, and she is getting applicants left right and centre... which is good for her cos she can pick and choose people at 'disocunt' rates, but bad for poor sods like you! advice so far has been quite good, i would say find a job that earns ok and enjoy having loadsa dinero! i work all day, get home tired and with little time left in the day, and i end up equaly as skint every month... just don't fall into that trap, it's GAY!
  20. ha, got ya thinking this was about sexy women! anyway, saw this parked outside the PO on my lunch break... literally an inch off the floor! Some kind of plymouth estate, very very cool! realy nice patina'd paint, mexican style blankets on the bench seats... harnesses for front and back torque thrust rims, very fat on the rear made my day!
  21. shame... least no cars were nicked!
  22. sorry mate, no idea... but i was hoping you might refresh my memory as to the tyres, rims and front splitter you had/have ony our motor? stupidly deleted the message?
  23. love the sun, always brings out fine women and cars! saw a sweeeet plymouth estate in town on my lunch break.... lowered to the floor (literally an inch off it!).... torque thrusts, phat rears.... real nice faded patina on it... complete with hrnesses for front and back sears!
