  1. previous occupier.... bin!
  2. Thats an interesting. I have been under the impression that 4dr shells are the stronger ones with them having more curves in the shell. However, if one person is going to know either way I'd have put my money on you i two heard that more doors were structurally stronger too... but retro is a chasis guru!
  3. i found lancaster really cheap on my capri... to be honest, i never made a claim so couldn't tell ya what they are like to deal with? i like a low premium though! what engine you got antz? cos my capri, now a 2ltr, i have told the DVLA so as far as incsurance is concerned it's now a 2ltr lazer, not a 1.6.... so doesn't count as modded!
  4. like the budget test light for setting the timing! where does one get a test lamp, or do you make them DIY stylee? H&H ignition, worth a look in if ya ask me, £125 for rebuilt dizzy plus leccy ignition module is a bargain!
  5. well, i live in a flat and everywhere outside (communal) is either gravel or tarmac, so aint ideal! but, fook the neighbours... i'll borrow me dads drill and gettin going!
  6. Do it myself, an hour? with sandpaper and no-where to do it? or do you mean hire a blaster? come on peeps, someone must know?
  7. or similare process.... how much would i be looking at to get my mk3 cappa tailgate stripped? not interested in painting after, just the removal of rust and paint (I'm lazy! )... so a rough ball park figure would be helpful! i have emailed a few local places, but they haven't responded and i can't ring em in the day cos of work! # cheers
  8. well said! i tried sanding down and preping a tailgate for the capri... failed, and i'm now getting it shot blasted so i can prime and paint... does that make me flash cash or budget? A sweet car is a sweet car

he posted on here and CP like last week? put a vid up of his cappa... check his thread, think it was the 22nd april?
  10. prefer the cortina personally... break it and rude out the cortina! i think the cortina 'suits' you better, if a car can 'suit' it's owner!
  11. http://www.metacafe.com/watch/501379/re ... airduster/
  12. mmmm very nice mix of very nice motors! was that a v8 capri at the top?
  13. again, a stealth tax from our greedy gov.... if ya ask me, crims who commit real crime like car theft and burglury and the such should have to pay for all the damage they do and the police/ambulance/fire costs asscoiated with their crimes (and if pay for it emans wokring for no pay, so be it!)! that would scare more people than jail, as well as make some p's for our money hungry gov!
  14. ha ha ha! oops!
  15. was born in 86... so the last year of capri... so i would deam myself new blood! always loved american muscle, and when i saw a capri i knew i had to have one! in school i really wanted a pug 206... i would go through my max power and dream all the gash mods i would do... go through demon tweeks and think of all the pointless interior shite i would like!
  16. ha ha ha, fail!
  17. despite us not seeing eye to eye on previous posts, that is taking the piss!
  18. don't forget the actual quality of the mp3 will affect quality! it pisses me off how many people copy music at 128 kbps... it simply wont do! you need around the 200kbps for good quality!
  19. sick car! how many 'points' does it take to do a turn in the road though!
  20. don't use supermarket own brands... they are the ones that normally fail the quality assurance test at the major brands and are sold on cheap to tesco and the like!
  21. don't know... something i would be interested in to!
  22. well said! many people on here think cars like corsa's and that won't become classics, but they will! i'm sure in the 80's the capri was never considered a classic!
  23. although most of the articles on the front don't interest me (to much escort for my likes)... i think it is better to come in, always nice to have a good bit to read!
