  5. Olympic blue was an earlier colour used on Mk1 Escorts. Mk2's used Riviera blue(very similar to olympic blue) or Nordic blue which was a slightly lighter powder blue used on later cars. thats what i thought until i brought my mk2 escort, and it says Olympic on the tag on the slam pannel lol
  6. All rs's have an alloy spacer on the gear box mount, it bolts to the mount on the floor then the gearbox mount bolts to it, it lowers the gerabox mount about an inch, as to it being the same gearbox mount, it must be sligtly different otherwise the bolt would go straight through the spacer into the body.
  7. I've got a spare one
  8. To do it properly you have to put two dowls in the head to locate the manifold to stop it moving on the bolts The idea is to open the ports on the manifold to the same size as the head to improve air flow but if you open it up too far you will create a step which will cause turbelance which is no good hence the dowls to locate it spot on As to what tool to use, the best way is to use an air grinder. the grinding stones are crap (last 5 mins and take forever) Go to a good tool shop and get a drill bit with a sort of file on it (make shure its for metal not wood) costs about 20 pound eats metal lasts for ever
