  1. yes, they come with a variety of door mounting flanges and fit well.
  2. hard to believe ive had this motor almost 18 years in various guises....its spec has changed many times,.....getting more bits added as time has passed! i did an xe transplant in the mid 2000,s at the time it changed from yellow to blue after a full body resto, and after a few years running 45 dellorto,s i upgraded it to jenvey throttle bodies and mbe management a few years back along with fast road cams, lightened flywheel and capri 2.8i type 9 box replacing the std sierra one i had fitted.. i had it on 7 inch ronal 4 spokes for a while before changing to 7.5 jbw 4 spokes using anglia van halfshafts in a narrowed english casing to get the back end squatting nicely! i stumbled across a few pics, old and recent lately, and thought id share!! and heres a few pics in her recent spec.....
  3. i run the tex mirrors on my mk1 too, ..great that theyre still available to buy new.. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MG-PAIR-TEX-TYPE-DOOR-MIRROR-MGB-MIDGET-MINI-AUSTIN-MORRIS-BRITISH-LEYLAND/401528426765?hash=item5d7cf5910d:g:yFsAAOSwnc1a4cY0

  7. i dont do any competiton with the mk2 anymore,...just a couple of drift track days a year for the laugh,....ive tidied it up a bit and made it road legal along with a nicer clutch and exhaust tunnel etc so i can take it on runs and stuff. im actually enjoying the car more being able to do different stuff with it at less expense!!
  8. havent been on here for yonks....had an issue logging on but all good now! still trying to keep on top of my old motors!! my mk2 escort and transit have seen recent makeovers and the mk1 is still holding out reasonably well!

  18. im now running 8 inch wheels on the back of the drift car with nankang 185,60,13,s. in my case its for more rear end grip but asides from that the thread width on the nankang im using is wider than any other 185, 13 ive seen. doesent look at all stretched on the rim. the tyre your after is a nankang toursport xr 611. hope this helps.
  19. i was bidding on that one too!! nice lookin motor that, best of luck with her.
  20. sounds very simple if the inner wings dont need changing. but dont the mk1 inner wings fall down at the front towards the mk1 slam panel where as mk2 inner wings more or less keep the same level all the way out. all very interesting!!
