Hi all. Been away from the Ford scene for a while due to various reasons. On the brink of buying a modded 105 so thought i’d pop back and see who’s still around and what’s changed. Bet everyone I knew has moved on!

Hello everyone. After a three year break (after selling my escort) I’m back! Made the horrendous mistake of selling my Mk2 and getting a Caterham, but it just didn’t do it for me so I’m back in thhe world of overpriced Fords. 😊 Can’t afford to buy my old car back so I’m close to doing a deal on a modified 105e. Be interesting to see how many old names I recognise. No doubt I’ll be probing all the Anglia owners for hints and tips as I don’t know much about them currently as I’ve only ever been into mk2s. 👍🏻 A pic of my old car I had when was on here last, although this pic was taken by a subsequent owner.

Genuine AVO RS2000 Mk1 Escort £26,995
mk2 mike replied to thrashermax's topic in OLD SKOOL FORD CARS FOR SALE
Nice one Max. Looks the business. Have to admit I'd rather have something like that than my mk2. I'm getting bored of the Ford scene, I think a caterham is calling [emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Essex OSF photo shoot location needed
mk2 mike replied to Englishbulls's topic in OLD SKOOL FORD CHAT
How about at the Essex osf monthly meet? What better to have as a background as other osfs? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I found my valve. Gutted it as shown. Engine still pumps oil from the rocker cover, front and rear seals. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Each to their own. Better looking than anything ford made imo. ( other than the escort obviously). Youre entitled to your opinion, even if it's wrong lol. They fetch £80k for a good one. The demand is high. [emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It now belongs to my mate Dale. Here's a video of us a couple of years back on a run from Boxhill. https://youtu.be/567IZ4C1eA4 https://youtu.be/kz3qeG5R7Vk It's typical I had dozens of photos on my phone of the car but deleted them about 6 weeks ago to make space [emoji849] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

When I ordered stuff from them it arrived quickly and hassle free. When I've emailed them or messaged them on Retards Club I've yet to have a single reply. I'm not overly impressed with them and only use them as an absolute last result. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My pcv valve was under the exhaust manifold in that black breather box. Took it out earlier I'll gut it out tomorrow. While I was in the garage I had a closer look today. There's evidence of oil leaking from both front and rear crank seals, sump gasket, and rocker cover gasket. I'm hoping this will solve it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'll have a look tomorrow. Cheers! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Actually in the manifold? I'm on twin 45s with the weber manifold so not standard. Or in the block under the manifold? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have exactly this issue. Front crank seal (possibly rear too) and sump gasket all leaking spraying oil all over. I've got the cam cover breather connected to the breather tube at the rear of the block via a t piece then going into a catch tank. Is the valve inside the big black box under the exhaust manifold?? Anyone got a pic of it in situ for me please? I'm hoping my problem is this not the crank seals need doing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You know it makes sense Dal. This time don't go for a prestige model, get a basic 1100L and mod the bejusus out of it. M That said, I'm in love with this on eBay (no longer available) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
