  1. Couple of us from teeside might well try to get up this Tuesday - I will assume its on this month
  2. I may well be at my Grans house in Alston the weekend of this run, so might tag along from there - mind, I may come from the cousins house in Penrith. I love these roads - I learnt to drive on them I could show you the corner I destroyed my first escort on! (mk 1 1300 GT, end over end roll - the doors were fine. I was unwell for a while!) - Its on the whitfield side, and there are normally flowers there or there abouts (corner tightens up, bit scary really)
  3. Shall mark this in the diary - Whitby and Scarborough would be obvious to the south but parking up is always a problem - Druridge bay is always deserted to the north, depends on whether people want to show off really
  4. Finally learnt to paint All done in a single car lock up, with no real clue as to what I've been doing, and painted with rattle cans. Quite chuffed with it This is how I bought her... And now she looks like this...
  5. Bogg Brothers in North Yorkshire I don't even know of another local ish one except a certain one in Northallerton, and I like my car so those butchers don't get to touch it
  6. They are still made, but they're f*ckin expensive - might be better buying a scrapper with one in http://sunroof.webasto.co.uk/products/r ... a-400.html

    coppers

Oh god yes I know - a know quite a few, in various forces - some of them are actually human There's always one though - same in any job
  8. Fit is still shit - gap from about 5mm to about 15mm is the best I could get - its being used to repair the shed roof now. Someone said they had had insurance problems over fibreglass panels too

    coppers

Cambridgeshire (I think) traffic confirming everything that Joe Public believes about them. Total prick.
  10. Rally school - make sure he gets to rag an escort around, then have a day out at either a classic touring car type race or come up to the Roger Albert Clark (guessing that wouldn't even be far for him to travel, starts at Pickering) Time is the best thing though - once its too late........
  11. Nice one. I need motivation at the moment as I need to get some paint on my 4 door mk2, and fit the poly bushes on the back Good to see some local cars too. Have made the decision to learn to paint and do mine in the garage at home, then everything has been done in the same single garage by me and a handful of mates - its been a steep learning curve so far
  12. There are quite a few names from here turn up on that type of forum. Its a variation on the rust fascination
  13. I thought it was at the cars of the stars museum at Keswick at one point - probably wrong though I'm sure I've seen it somewhere though
  14. Was a good one, and I liked the mix (prefer the older stuff, but can see the point of the newer stuff - LOVED the Orion 1.6 ghia). Thought I'd have seen more on the road mind Might be able to get some more together from teeside next time (got to get a 16 sport roof replaced first mind )
  15. Hmm, deeply tempted...about how much/how bad is it?
