All went extremely well thanks Mark, he had a hell of a send off. Never seen anything quite like it. Rod / custom / modified car procession with black bonnet ribbons following the '79 Cadillac hearse, flamed paint job on coffin, huge attendance, he had a lot of friends, lovely music, spoken and floral tributes. Hi All, Very sorry I didn't think to post on here till today, if any of you knew the fabricator and car builder Paul Dickens based in West Drayton near Heathrow, very sadly he passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in his sleep in mid September from complications arising from an enlarged heart. Paul was well known in the area and well liked, working on and modifying many old Skool Fords, he was also heavily involved in the old Rover v8 Challenge Drag racing championship with several of the racers including initially Karl Palmer and his Mk3 Zephyr, and did much work on and crewed for me for a while in my own Escort Mk1. His funeral is this Friday October 28th 2016 Breakspear Crematorium, Breaksper Rd, Ruislip 2.15pm with wake after at Uxbridge Sports Club, Gatting Way, off Park Lane Uxbridge. Hi, The Escort was owned by TR7 Rover V8 Drag Racer Steve Good, and loaned to Paul Dickens so he could have a go at racing with his own 3.5 race engine in the car. The car eventually changed hands and was bought by oval circuit racer Dave Fry iin High Wycombe, he stripped all the v8 stuff out and put in a race crossflow and raced it on the oval, that's last I heard, may have changed since. Very sadly Paul Dickens passed away a few weeks ago unexpectedly, we were long time best mates, his funeral is this Friday 28th Oct 2.15pm in Ruislip in case anyone knew him. . The Escort was owned originally by Chris Pegg, it ran 10.4 if I remember rightly please correct me if wrong, on 13" slicks which was real quick at the time over 20 years ago, and him and Dave Warren shared the driving, not sure if Dave had a share in the car TBH.

Hi - yes we could post but get charged for the bulky size of the parcel rather than the weight. I would need to put the two halves against each other and calculate the volumetric weight for an exact price but if I guess going on other bulky items we've sent it'll be over £30 to post. Cheers. I think you may mean 28/36 DCD - this was an oblong flat topped carb fitted standard on Mk1 Cortina GT and some Corsairs and many conversions.
