in the thread about sierra engine in a capri an rs2000 engine will bolt straight up to a type 9 box.

that cars an animal.. i only live a short way away from nts, he always has awesome cars. Will be alot of fun. wish i had a car like that.

Just out of interest how thick is the flywheel on the rs2000 engine that youve got.

was with the 8v twin cam flywheel

i used to have a sierra with a twink fitted and i used an uprated pinto friction plate with a sierra cover cause you cant get uprated clutches for a 8v twink. hopes this helps a bit

the sierra twink is a good strong engine. i used to have a "cough" sierra with a turboed one with a standard bottom end and i never had any trouble with it. You can do quite a bit to the twink, you can fit the 16v head from a rs2000 and acralite do some forged pistons which raise the comp ratio to 11.5:1 i think. this engine was tuned to 285bhp in the f2 maxi rally cars.

i plan to fit an a frame kit to my escort. if it works well enough on goldmember it will be plenty to stop my estate axle moving.

My dad used to have a green mk2 escort 1300 popular from new, ill try find a picture of it and scan it in.

i was looking for a unit to rent recently but just gonna use my parents garage becuase a 3 car unit with rates would be £440 a month.

What about a 2.0l 16v i4 engine from a mk5 rs2000. 150bhp straight out the box and will bolt straight up to a type9 box.

hey, how are you all. Im Matt. Ive been into old skool fords for ever but only just bought my first one. Ive got a mk2 escort estate in white, needs a few bits doing to it to get it on the road buts its mostly a solid car lowered over originall comp cxn's and with a 2.0l pinto under the bonnet. Ill get pics up when i get the car back to my house. Yay i can post pics. Heres my new car, picking it up on saturday.
