  15. by the sounds of your explanation, the gauge may have gone faulty at some point in its life and given the car a non charging problem. this problem may have been overcome at the time by bypassing the gauge (joining the wires together to complete the curcuit again). check the gauge out by putting a ohms meter across its terminals. if the ohms meter reads nothing (doesnt move) then its gone open cuircuit and is probably faulty and if joined back up, it wont work and you battery may also not charge. it could be faulty in that it could be earthing out through its casing and could cause a wireing meltdown so be carefull!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if the ohms meter reads a resistance across the terminals, then it must have been disconnected for good reason so dont trust reconnecting the gauge till you have a pro check it out first
  16. thats great! tell you what though, my mate got a trade card for halfords and i have to say FOOK ME!!! what a diffence in price! the tools are pretty good but the usual pads, discs and service parts really drop in price

  18. hi mate, got all exhaust parts from here. they also do a lot of silencer boxes! http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Pipe-Werx-Performance-Exhausts and ive just found out that the manifold pipework place has a ebay shop also lol! http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Solid-Fabrications im sure with both those suppliers you can find all you need to make a pretty good system
  19. done my manifold and exhaust although the exhaust is very simple 1 small box and side exit. i bought some bends (1.75 inch ID) and a 10mm thick 1metre length of plate steel for the manifold and some larger bends and strait lengths for the exhaust (2.5 inch ID) all stainless steel apart from the flange material. i found it a piece of piss to do the exhaust once i got the turbo in place, but the manifold took me about 3-4 sodding days to get right! getting four pipes to fit the turbo flange was a right head scratcher got all the exhaust parts from a ebay shop, the manifold pipework from somewhere in north london, and a local supplier for the 10mm plate steel. will go look up there web site it you need, just let me know
