thanks for the offers guys, thankfully i've managed to sort my brake line over the weekend but i still need to de-cack my brake carriers... i'm 'in' with God, so could probably get you into heaven! half an hour with a grit blaster is all i need now...

Hi guys long story short i need to borrow a brake pipe flaring tool and get my rear brake backing plates cleaned so i can get my capri reassemled. i have 3.60 to my name until i get paid at the end of the month so i could really do with a favour from a fellow old-skooler... my needs? access to a grit blaster and use of a flaring tool! Anyone who can lend a hand (or equipment!) i can repay with body repair/welding/mechanical skills or with beer tokens when i'm better off! could do with this help ASAP because my lift to work goes to poland for a month and i have 30 miles between me and my work and i'm without a car! i'm in NG2 nottingham, if you want to go to heaven - call 07960 158 667!!! thanks!! tom

i see... thanks for the heads up! i thought it would be a smart move to ask on here, after looking around the ford dealers i googled them to get some reviews and all it turned up was a bunch of bleeting daily mail readers whining about labour cost from a main dealers... obviously i'm looking around for an OSF but theres not a lot of choice nearby. really, i'd rather avoid taking on debt for a new (gay plastic generic) econo-box and spend my hard earned on the capri as i'm sure you all would understand won't be going back to the ford dealers i don't think... i want a MK1 fiesta but my dad refuses to help me out if i want another OSF, he insists on mediocrity. *sighs* anyway thankyou all for your help, much appreciated! especially you Squadge

hi all, recently i've been offered an apprenticeship with a crash repair company which is 33 miles away and i need to sort out a dependable daily drive for the next 2-3 years. i've been looking at 55 onwards fiestas from my local ford dealers and wondered if any of you lovely oldskoolers would like to share your experiences with me? any advice, things to look for, common faults, what they're like to live with - that sort of thing, would be greatly appreciated! i'm looking at 1.25 petrol or preferably 1.4 tdci engines although i'd read that they're known for needing injector seals around the 35k mark? like i say, any info greatly appreciated!

as a professional slack-arse, i can tell you that avoiding getting behind with essays and assignments should be your top priority! its like trying to run up the 'travelator' on gladiators if you get behind!
